Every season of Big Brother delivers at least one funny houseguest. Oftentimes, there are multiple funny people who not only entertain the audience but the other houseguests as well. The way houseguests interact with each other is also a successful recipe for a funny season as well.

Sometimes, what makes a player funny relates to something that happened that season or a chain of events and instances. Nonetheless, for fans who like to get a good laugh from particularly witty, sarcastic, practical joking, and charming players, a few seasons of Big Brother stand out above the rest.

Big Brother 17

James Huling, the resident Big Brother practical joker, was a houseguest in season 17, and his constant pranking of other contestants made it a memorable and hilarious season. The season was also funny thanks to the twin switch twist, which saw identical twin sisters Liz and Julia swapping places in the house, leaving people confused and suspicious at times.

The one moment from James that is definitely worth watching was when, during the Hide and Go Veto challenge, he ransacked the house on purpose, just so everyone would have to clean up after. It easily made Big Brother 17's Hide & Go Veto the best one.

Big Brother 14

Thanks to Britney Godwin (then known as Haynes), season 14 is another Big Brother season for viewers looking for a laugh. It also marks the return of other fan-favorite all-star players like Dan Gheesling, Frank Eudy, and Mike "Boogie" Malin. Britney's snark and witty sense of humor were in full force for this season, her second time playing.

Once Britney was eliminated, fans still got their laughs from players like Mike and Frank, who tried to resurrect Mike's old "Chilltown" alliance and used their Diary Room sessions to recreate some iconic moments from season 2.

Mike "Boogie" Malin and Dr. Will Big Brother

While there were a lot of serious moments in the second season of Big Brother, it also goes down as one of the funniest in the series thanks to the Chilltown Alliance between Dr. Will Kirby and Mike "Boogie" Malin. Well known for their animated Diary Room sessions, the pair made an iconic duo.

Together they ran the house the entire way through. Watching Dr. Will lie and manipulate people then talk about how easy it was to do behind their backs had fans laughing, both at the ridiculousness of the situation and the gullibility of the other players.

Big Brother 12

Arguably one of the funniest Big Brother players ever, the first season with Britney Godwin will keep viewers in stitches. Every one of her diary room sessions was filled with sarcasm and wit. The scene of her imitating Rachel in her HoH room, wearing her wig, was one of the funniest ever on the show.

Rachel herself was also a funny part of that season, with her emotional and angry outbursts, the iconic Big Brother rivalries she was part of, and her showmance with Brendon. Enzo and his comments were also laugh-inducing throughout the season. All in all, this is one of the best seasons to watch for hearty laughs.

Big Brother 18

What made this season so funny was the cockiness from Paul Abrahamian, who, after running the house the entire time, ended up losing to Nicole Franzel in his first of two back-to-back runner-up losses in the game.

As the longest season in the game's history, this one will provide plenty of entertainment as fans watch Paul try to lie and manipulate his way through each challenge and situation. With this season also including practical joker James Huling, it was filled with lots of laughs.

Big Brother 22

While some fans did not like season 22, also known as All-Stars, which was marred from the beginning with rumors of returning players creating strategies prior to entering the house, there's no denying that it was a funny one to watch.

Enzo was one of the funniest players on season 12, and his charm was back in season 22 when he had everyone in the house laughing constantly. Indeed, while Enzo wasn't deemed a strategic player, he arguably lasted as long as he did in the house – right to the finals – because he was so likable and funny.

Big Brother 8

Eric Stein talking to the camera in Big Brother with his eyes down, in mid-sentence.

This was the season that saw Eric Stein appointed the first-ever America's Player, where he was given a variety of tasks to complete in secret in order to win cash prizes. Viewers voted on the tasks, some of which were silly, others of which ended up forcing him to go against his own alliance. It's for this reason, in fact, that Eric is one of the best Big Brother players who didn't win but should have.

Even though the America's Player tasks cost Eric the game, watching him try and accomplish each one - from making up a traumatic story from his past to pretending he was sleepwalking - made this one of the funniest seasons in Big Brother history. It should be noted that this is the same season with Dick Donato, one of the best villains from Big Brother, and his dynamic with the others made it worth watching – and laughing – as well.

Big Brother 16

Zach Rance laughing in the Diary Room in Big Brother.

Zach Rance was one of the funniest players in Big Brother, and this season had a lot going on. From Zach's hilarious musings and angry outbursts where he called people ridiculous names, to the house turning on Frankie Grande only to have him win a pair challenge on his own, it was filled with hilarity. Donny Thompson, a fan favorite player, was also provided plenty of laughs in that season.

The season also saw the Battle of the Block competition with two HoHs crowned who had to compete against one another to keep the title, along with the Jury Battle Back and Team America votes. However, it was really Zach's presence that made this season one of the funnier ones.

Big Brother 9

Long-time fans might remember the pink-haired James Zinkand, who was a houseguest on season 9 and brought lots of fun and personality into the house. After being evicted, he was voted right back into the house by the houseguests themselves via a twist, proving that he was a popular player.

Zinkand, who, at 21, was one of the youngest players ever on Big Brother, ended up winning the America's Choice Jury Prize of $25,000 thanks to his shining personality. Going by the nickname of "Crazy James," he made the time in the house fun and exciting, which, in turn, made it fun and exciting to watch.

Big Brother 19

From the get-go, season 19 was filled with drama as the house became divided. But the presence of players like Josh Martinez and Alex Ow made it a hilarious one to watch. With Josh banging pots and pans together to annoy his enemies, to Alex and Jason Dent's unlikely friendship and funny moments together, it was an entertaining season full of funny personalities.

Along with Josh and Alex, Kevin was also a hilarious player, constantly musing about how the much younger players baffled him in terms of their lack of discipline and responsibility for doing simple things like cleaning up after themselves. Combined with Raven's strange stories, it was a fun season filled with hilarious personalities.
