There's no denying that Enzo Palumbo is one of the funniest players to have ever been on the U.S. version of Big Brother. First appearing in season 12 where he dubbed himself "the Meow-Meow," he was notable for having started a dominant alliance, even though he later fell to the background as the competition beasts and masterminds of his alliance took charge.

Enzo returned in All-Stars season 22 to, once again, make it to the end of the game, this time as runner-up versus his third-place finish the first time around. Always a character, Enzo's thick New Jersey accent, fantastical stories, and animated personality easily also make him one of the most likable players ever in the game.

Knives In Drawers

"Maybe [Matt] wasn't the brains after all because I beat him, and you know I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer."

Enzo isn't the most book-smart person, though he is very street-smart. Nonetheless, he is fully aware that his academic intelligence isn't on par with an Ivy Leaguer.

However, Enzo is more than happy to toot his own horn, especially when it comes to success in the game. But the fact that he does it while also being self-deprecating keeps him down-to-earth and is why he's one of Big Brother's most popular houseguests.

Slop Equals Exes

"Slop, to me, is like an ex-girlfriend. I want nothing to do with it."

Enzo Palumbo Big Brother in the Diary Room, shrugging.

Enzo was one of the funniest Big Brother players ever, as evidenced with lines like this one. Slop, as fans know, is basically a form of oatmeal that players who have been declared "Have Nots" for a week must eat exclusively.

Not surprisingly, players never want to be named Have Nots and be relegated to only eating slop while others in the house gorge on the delicious selection of food that was made available to them. Enzo, in particular, wanted a permanent breakup with slop.

Zingbot Is Trash

"The Zingbot's a big b**ch of a tin can. He's lucky I don't recycle him."

A fan-favorite event on Big Brother is when the hilarious Zingbot pays a visit to roast the remaining houseguests. Zingbot is a comedian of sorts who doesn’t hold back, essentially saying what all the fans have been thinking about each player.

When Zingbot delivers its "zing," to Enzo, he took it in stride but was also visibly annoyed at the insult. Thus, he said this comment in the diary room, referencing the fact that Zingbot is supposed to be a robot made of metal and other recyclable materials and could easily be thrown away.

Riding The Banana

"My first time straddling a giant banana. I guess it's fun."

Big Brother is known for its creative competitions, but also for silly and hilarious ones that have the houseguests doing ridiculous and sometimes embarrassing things. It can range from getting hit in the face with goo to having to slip and slide down a track carrying tiny cups of water back and forth.

In this competition, Enzo found himself riding atop a large banana-shaped contraption that worked similarly to a mechanical bull. He couldn't help but comment on how silly it all was when looking back at what he was doing.

Required Vernacular

"Yo."

There was rarely a sentence that came out of Enzo's mouth that didn't end with the word "yo." He said it as often as others might say words like "like," "you know," or "eh?" It was just the way he spoke.

If fans were to count how many times Enzo said "yo," it may very well rival host Julie Chen's famous catchphrases. What made it so funny was, indeed, just how often Enzo said it.

Hey, Hannibal

"He looks like Hannibal Lecter or somethin'."

During a challenge, Enzo couldn't help but sling insults at the opposing players. In this one, he referenced a tape job they were doing, which only included three or four pieces of tape covering a person when it was supposed to cover them entirely.

Calling it "horrendous," Enzothen went on to make this comparison to the terrifying character from the Silence of the Lambs books and movies. Hannibal Lecter famously wears a straitjacket and muzzle over his mouth versus being covered like a mummy, which is what the challenge had indicated was the goal.

Big Moves

"I wanted to pull a big move this week, you know. Maybe a backdoor. But it's just not the right time right now."

At first glance, this doesn't sound like a funny comment. But understanding the context in which it was said, and how it made fans furious, slapping their faces into their palms and laughing, is what makes it so. While Enzo was a member of the dominant alliances both times he played, including The Brigade, which was one of the most successful alliances ever on Big Brother, he was never on anyone's radar to get rid of. No one saw Enzo as a threat and they believed he would be easy to beat in the end.

Nonetheless, Enzo had some opportunities where he could have changed the course of the game and racked up some points with the jury for orchestrating a big move. But each time, as evidenced from this quote, he backed out. This quote is funny in an ironic way because Enzo talked a big game until it came time to actually make a move. If it meant he would be responsible instead of someone else having to take the heat, he opted not to do anything. Thus, fans couldn't help but laugh at the bravado that was never backed up by actual moves when he had the chance to make them.

Stalking Feet

"This is over 10 years now she has been stalking my feet."

In a hilarious discussion with Christmas, Memphis, and Cody in the HoH room, Enzo talked about how a woman on Twitter had been reaching out to him since he first appeared on the show, begging him to share photos of his feet.

He claimed he would post teaser photos, sometimes with the bottom of his foot and a hole cut out of the sock. He had the houseguests all cracking up but was very serious about the story and insisted that people are obsessed with his feet. "If my feet were a person, it would be like the Bearded Lady at one of those county fairs," he added.

I Started It

"The last time I played Big Brother, I started one of the best alliances of all time, The Brigade."

While Enzo might not be the strongest member of The Brigade when it came to orchestrating moves and winning challenges, he can be credited with actually having created it. Indeed, The Brigade went on to become one of the most dominant alliances ever on Big Brother.

This was one of the first things Enzo said when he returned for All-Stars, reminding fans that he was a big part of that season. It was funny that Enzo was eager to puff his chest, even though it was clear Matt was the brains and Hayden was the brawn of that alliance.

Meow Meow

"I'm The Meow Meow."

Enzo quickly won the hearts of viewers by coming across as this rugged, manly man with a thick New Jersey accent who was proud of his Italian roots. But then he followed it up by revealing his cutesy nickname, the Meow-Meow.

Players continued to call him that while he was in the house. But what was funniest was the way Enzo often referred to himself in the third person, using this nickname. He would discuss serious things about taking down enemies, contrasting that with his adorable nickname. It had fans in stitches.
