The new season of Big Brother: All-Stars has expanded upon the legacies of its returning houseguests in new and surprising ways, but fans have mixed feelings about the third appearance of Dani Briones on the show. When Dani first played Big Brother on BB8, she made it all the way to the final two, losing the grand prize to her estranged father, Dick Donato. Now, with Dani showing her aggressive side, it seems the apple didn't really fall too far from the tree!

"Evel Dick," as he came to be known, appeared on the first night in the house as part of a "Rivals" twist, in which several houseguests were surprised to see controversial figures from their past included in the cast for that season. Despite their differences, daughter Dani and father Dick worked together and outlasted the rest of their competition on BB8. Evel Dick's abrasive attitude gave him several enemies, but he was still respected for his aggressive gameplay and was rewarded as a result. While Dani will certainly never be as confrontational as her father once was, she definitely seems to have a mean streak on All-Stars. Here's the rundown on her relationship with Evel Dick and why she might be playing a bit more like her father this time around.

While Dani and Evel Dick might have developed a mutual respect during BB8, these repairs to their relationship did not last outside of the Big Brother house. They continued to ignore one another, talking very sporadically until they were both invited back for the show's 13th season. While fans were excited to see the saga of this father-daughter duo continue, Dick was forced to exit the season early due to health complications. Dani went on to moderate success, reaching the jury phase of the game and finishing in 8th place. Unfortunately, this second chance at a reunion did little for Dick and Dani, as they remain uninvolved in each other's lives today. While Evel Dick may not speak to his daughter very much, he is unafraid to speak about her gameplay on Big Brother: All-Stars. In fact, he is rather outspoken in general as it relates to this season of the show. Dick took to his Twitter to comment on Dani's performance thus far, calling his daughter "hard to root for" due to her rude behavior:

While Evel Dick's take on Dani's game feels like a somewhat misogynistic generalization of women on Big Brother, it also reinforces just how controversial Dani's behavior has been this season. When your attitude is seen as too abrasive for one of the most notorious villains in Big Brother history, who just so happens to be your father, there might be some validity to the accusations. Dick may not have had much contact with his daughter over the years, but it seems he has rubbed off on her nevertheless. The father-daughter duo made BB8 one of the greatest seasons in Big Brother history, even if their story didn't continue outside of the house.

Opinions on Dani's game in Big Brother: All-Stars remain mixed, as fans are unsure whether or not she has a chance at winning. Of course, Dick's willingness to play dirty worked out for him, so perhaps the same can be said of his daughter.
