Cody Calafiore not only came in second place during season 16 of Big Brother, but he also went on to win the All Stars season last summer. While this definitely seems like enough to qualify him as a Big Brother legend, many fans are torn on whether he deserves that title or not. There is no doubt Cody was a competition beast throughout the game, but more goes into being a Big Brother legend than just winning competitions.

Cody first entered the Big Brother house in 2014 when he competed during season 16 of the show. He and season winner, Derrick Levasseur, quickly formed the infamous "Hit Men" alliance. This was one of the very few two-person alliances on the show to actually make it to the final two on finale night. Despite not taking home the grand prize during season 16, Cody took what he learned from his first go-around when he reentered the house last summer. He managed to find a way to change up his gameplay enough to not only bring him to final night yet again, but this time to also win the $500,000 grand prize.

While there is no doubt Cody was a competition beast throughout both seasons, Big Brother fans are torn on whether he should be considered a "legend" or not. Aside from being good at competitions, mainly due to his fit physical physique, Cody had strategic gameplay. During season 16, he ultimately chose loyalty over the grand prize by choosing to sit next to Derrick in the final two rather than Victoria Rafaeli, who he would have easily won against. Then, four years later, he learned from this mistake when he found himself in the same position yet again. When making the choice of who to sit next to in the final two, Cody betrayed Nicole Franzel to ensure he would win the season. In addition, Cody never found himself sitting on the block throughout the entire All Stars season.

Despite having quite the list of Big Brother accomplishments under his belt, some fans don't think Cody deserves to be considered a Big Brother legend. One Reddit user explained, "I would rank Cody within the top 10 for best players, but I wouldn't call him a legend because he's not super memorable. Impressive but not legendary." Cody had good gameplay, but many viewers don't necessarily think he had a good personality to go along with it. He did not bring much entertainment to the season outside of the competitions. While he did play "top-tier" on season 22, Cody was perceived as "being carried" by Derrick on season 16. He definitely deserved his runner-up title that season.

During season 16, Cody played for both him and Derrick, ensuring they would make it to the final two together, which ultimately lost him the game. On the other hand, during season 22, Cody played for himself and himself only, which ultimately won him the game. While he may not necessarily qualify to be considered a Big Brother legend, he definitely used his first experience playing the game to learn from his mistakes and make an impressive comeback win.
