Big Brother Canada 9 will feature a TikTok-themed Power of Veto competition as the video-sharing social network has joined BBCAN9 as an official sponsor. The fans are very excited about the fact that Big Brother Canada season 9 is finally starting in March 2021. While so many social networks are flooded with rumors regarding the season 9 cast, the viewers are also keeping an eye out for any official updates on the upcoming season. At this point, Global has released a few details about season 9.

To recap, the fans are already well aware of the highly-anticipated release date for Big Brother Canada 9. The season is scheduled to premiere Wednesday, March 3, 2021 on Global. It's also been confirmed by host and executive producer Arisa Cox that the series will from now on cast at least 50% BIPOC houseguests on new seasons, which is a great push for more diversity in the competition. Another noteworthy update is that the BBCAN9 house will be decorated as an "abandoned BBCAN8 house," given that the previous season had to be canceled due to the growing concern with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, yet another behind-the-scenes sneak peek into the upcoming Big Brother Canada 9 season has been revealed, and it comes from a pretty unlikely source. As announced by a Corus press release on behalf of Global, TikTok has joined BBCAN9 as an official sponsor. Consequently, the show has planned a TikTok-themed Power of Veto competition. The press release explained that the "houseguests will participate in a TikTok POV challenge," which is one of the ways how the video-sharing social network will be used and featured throughout the season.

The release also revealed that TikTok will feature a lot of exclusive content for BBCAN9 viewers to keep up with. For instance, the social network will "be home to 'After the Eviction' - an extension to Arisa's in-show interviews, providing exclusive live access to the houseguests directly following their eviction every Thursday." To watch these exclusive exit interviews, the fans just have to follow the official @BigBrotherCA profile on TikTok.

Big Brother Canada 9 is finally here, and the fandom couldn't be any more excited. Hopefully, this will be yet another great season of twists and gameplay.
