After last week's drama with two houseguests being ejected from the house on Big Brother Canada, Sheldon won Head of Household (again) and has chosen to nominate Minh-Ly and Carol for eviction, but Carol has made it clear she would like to leave this week.

This season of Big Brother Canada premiered less than a month ago, yet fans have already seen Nico Vera self-evict after five days in the house. In addition, contestants Jamar Lee and Kyle Rozendal were both ejected from the house during last week. Heading into week four in the house, this season's cast has only made it through a normal week once; it led to the eviction of Micheal Stubley during week 2, and they were hoping for a normal week of competitions and events this week too. With four having left already, two more are now on the chopping block and Sheldon's second HoH was set up to be a typical week for everyone. It seems like there's a likely chance that the number of self-evicted competitors might rise by one later in the week.

Despite many of the houseguests wanting Minh-Ly to be evicted this week - since she’s the bigger target - Carol has asked the houseguests to evict her this week. First approaching Sheldon directly, she made it clear that she was looking to be nominated this week and be voted out by the house, thus making his position as HoH redundant. After speaking with Sheldon, Carol called a house meeting to explain to her fellow houseguests that she has "kind of been up and down," explaining that she doesn't "have very much left to give to this game." Outside the house, she can manage her mental health but "it's a really hard place for me to get out of in my head" inside the house. Carol emotionally explained to the other houseguests that she has reached the end of her rope, and she has asked Sheldon "to give me what I need, which is to end my stay here." In a separate conversation with Brooke prior to the house meeting, Carol admitted that while she doesn't want to have to self-evict she may resort to that, and she pleads with the houseguests during the meeting to "give me what I feel I need so that I can leave and be proud of what I did here" rather than resorting to leaving herself.

While Carol has made it clear where she stands, the houseguests don't see it as such a black and white situation. In a private conversation with Brooke, Susanne admitted she was feeling "super frustrated" and felt the situation was "ridiculous" because she would "die to be in this game" and didn't think Carol was appreciating her opportunity. In a separate conversation, Angie shared a similar sentiment, saying "I legitimately don't want to play the game this way," pointing out that this is supposed to be "a Democratic game" but it doesn't feel that way. Fans of the show are equally frustrated with Carol's plight. Big Brother superfan and podcaster Taran Armstrong summarized Carol's ultimatum on Twitter, writing that Carol is essentially saying "waste your HOH on me, or I will waste it for you." You can read the full tweet below:

For the houseguests left in the Big Brother Canada house, it's hard to know what the right thing to do is in a situation like this. If they choose to evict Carol as she wants, they're leaving Minh-Ly - a much bigger target - in the house for yet another week. But if they keep Carol in the house, then she will resort to self-eviction, which would either lead to a cancelled week or lead to both her and Minh being sent home. Either way, this seems to be a lose-lose situation, and while it was meant to be a reset week for the house and for the season, it may end up going a different way. How many have to self-evict before they simply reset the whole season?
