Prior to Brent Champagne's blindside eviction last night on Big Brother 23, Britini D'Angelo's behavior made him question whether or not he was actually going to be sent home. Earlier this week, Xavier Prather won the third Head of Household competition of the summer. During his HOH reign, Xavier nominated both Brent and Britini for eviction. This was Britini's second week in a row on the block.

For most of the week inside the BB23 house, Brent was under the impression that he was safe from eviction despite being on the block. What he did not know was that the entire house was plotting to blindside him on eviction night by sending him out the door rather than Britini. Even his own team, the Aces - made up of Derek Xiao, Hannah Chaddha, and team captain Whitney Williams - were in on the plan. Brent was ultimately evicted with the first unanimous vote of the summer.

Even though Brent Champagne's eviction was technically a blindside, Britini D'Angelo's behavior leading up to eviction night made him question his safety. The morning after his eviction, Brent spoke with EW to discuss how he was feeling after leaving the house, as well as his thoughts on where his game went wrong. Brent explained, "Britini was a little too happy. She was walking around all bubbly, smiling, laughing. That's not really good for a guy in my position that's going up against her on the block." This behavior was much different from her crying after initially being nominated. In his exit interview with longtime host Julie Chen Moonves, Brent explained that he was a major target inside the house since the first few days of the competition.

Despite having a gut feeling that he was not actually a pawn, Brent was still "hopeful" that he would survive eviction and remain in the house for another week. While fans had anticipated a shocked reaction from Brent, they were ultimately let down by his calm acknowledgment of his eviction. Brent joked, "I'm sorry to disappoint everyone that was waiting for me to be like, 'Oh my God!' Cause it just all made sense to me." Even though his eviction did not come as a surprise to him, some of the votes did. For instance, Brent admitted that Alyssa's vote surprised him the most, even though he originally had planned on targeting Alyssa and Christian due to their showmance.

As for which houseguests are playing the best game on Big Brother 23, Brent believes that Christian is "absolutely killing it." However, he believes that his teammate Hannah will ultimately take home the $750,000 grand prize at the end of the summer. Hannah has played a more low-key game so far. Despite this, Brent noted that she is a part of numerous alliances. Even though it may be perceived that she is not playing much of a good game, she actually is playing well while still remaining under the radar. Brent will have to tune in along with fans to see if his predictions come true throughout the rest of the season.
