Every reality series has a villain, and none more so than Big Brother. Every season, there's someone cooped up in the house trying to win the $500,000 cash prize that likes to stir things up. They might be mean, conniving, manipulative- you name it. Sometimes, they are just plain arrogant and rude. There really are two types of villains when you think about it: those fans can't stand and those fans love to hate. See, it's one thing to despise a villain, but a completely other thing to despise a player so much that you actually look forward to watching them.

So which Big Brother villains fall into the latter category? Here are the 10 best.

Dick Donato

Nicknamed "Evel Dick" but others in his season, Donato was arrogant, rude, mean, and didn't care who he hurt or upset. He frequently argued with others in the house and had a "I'll do what I want" attitude.

Yet somehow, that is what made him so fun to watch and the most entertaining part of the whole season. While it's tempting to despise him, fans also really loved doing it, being weirdly drawn to his bad-boy attitude and look.

Paul Abrahamian

Paul and Victor sitting together in the Big Brother house.

While fans rolled their eyes every time he did or said something arrogant or referenced himself as the best and the leader and the guy pulling all the strings, fans also couldn't help loving every second he was on screen.

It made things even more entertaining when he lost not once but twice in a row to someone less deserving because people held that big of a grudge. As annoying as he was, fans couldn't get enough.

Jessie Godderz

Jessie Godderz felxing his muscles in Big Brother

The king of annoying past players, he was so conceited that he walked around either shirtless or in a tank top everywhere and nicknamed himself "Mr. Pec-tacular." A professional bodybuilder, it was hard to believe he was for real.

But this is precisely why fans loved to watch him. Even if fans despised his every word or action, it made the game all the more fun. So it's no surprise that he has come back numerous times to host challenges or participate in other segments of the game.

Mike "Boogie" Malin

Boogie raising his arms and smiling in Big Brother.

One of the original villains, Mike came back to play several times, winning the game his second time around. And while he was never as villainous as he was the first time around in his Chilltown alliance with Dr. Will Kirby, he was always the villain.

Yet somehow, fans loved to watch his cunning moves and diary sessions where he made fun of other players and how they were falling for his schemes.

Jessica Graf

Big Brother's Halting Hex

She wasn't exactly a villain until she took up with Cody, who became public enemy number one in the house. But she was considered by some to be a "mean girl." She started rights with people, seemed generally stuck up and concerned only about herself (and her showmance partner and now husband Cody.)

Yet when America had the chance to send rewards and advantages in the house, they chose her. So somehow they still viewed her as an underdog or at least appreciated her level of villainy.

Frankie Grande

Even though Frankie was dubbed a villain by many in the game who felt he was manipulating them and playing both sides (and he sort of way), fans couldn't help but love him. And it wasn't just because he is the older half-brother of mega pop star Ariana Grande.

There was something about his arrogance and attitude that fans loved to hate because he was also super-confident and talented at the game, both in terms of the social aspect and competitions. It might also have had something to do with his intense bromance with Zack, who was a villain but a totally lovable one.

Vanessa Rousso

Vanessa from Big Brother sitting down with a toque, smiling and looking at someone to the left.

A poker player by trade, it's no surprise that Rousso know exactly how to play her cards (pun intended) in this game. And while she was super emotional and paranoid a lot of the time, she was like the big mafia boss who everyone went to see to figure out what was going on.

Even if she was calling the shots and sometimes taking shots at others, fans still respected her stellar gameplay and thought she was robbed when she didn't win.

Rachel Reilly

Rachel from Big Brother outside with a smirk on her face.

Love and hate are strong words, but it's clear fans felt a bit of both about this multi-time player. She had a grating laugh, annoyed everyone in the house, and would not stop crying. Yet she was also outspoken, called out those who weren't playing the game, and played hard.

While she was so very annoying, fans couldn't help but appreciate her strategy, her strong bond with her showmance partner (and now husband) Brendon, and her ability to win competitions when it really mattered.

Dr. Will Kirby

Dr Will on Big Brother All-Stars

The original villain, Dr. Will did some despicable things during his time in the house. Yet somehow, fans were okay with it because well, it's just a game, right? He forged the Chilltown alliance and, together with Mike "Boogie" Malin, got himself all the way to the finals where he was declared winner.

There's no question he's a villain and while fans can't stand some of the things he did, they also can't help but love him.

Dan Gheesling

Widely considered the best player ever in the game, if not one of the best, Gheesling was so manipulative and hurt a lot of people yet somehow managed to mend fences and get them back on his side. So much so that he never received a vote to evict.

He had the combination of charm and cut-throat nature that was both terrifying and satisfying to watch. Even those playing against him knew he was a villain but loved him anyway.
