Big Brother fans have their favorite players that they root for to win the game, but they often wind up having to watch their favorites get sent home from the game early. One wrong move or bad relationship in the Big Brother house can determine how long a contestant lasts before their eviction.
One minute, viewers can see their favorite players thriving in the house, winning competitions, and seeming to do everything right. The next minute, those fan favorites are sent packing and out the door. More often than not, most of the season is unpredictable. After viewers become so invested in the show and watch contestant's every move, it can be sad to their favorites leave the game early.
Donny Thompson (Season 16)
The easy-going, kind-hearted, and genuine player Donny Thompson sadly left the Big Brother house early in season 16. Although he was viewed as a little bit of an underdog who laid low in the game, it was no secret that he was a fan favorite. He was part of Team America with Frankie Grande and Derick Levasseur, who ended up turning on him in the end. Donny was a likable player, and even though he finished in eighth place, viewers loved him so much that he won America's Favorite Houseguest with 5.2 million votes, the most votes for this prize in Big Brother history.
Jozea Flores (Season 18)
Jozea Flores, who was known for his funny, sassy, and bold personality, was hard not to like. Although his gameplay may not have been the best and his cocky attitude may have hurt his chances of staying in the house in season 18, it was sad that his time in the game was cut short. While he was convinced he was going to remain in the house based on his attempt to get as many random votes to stay as he could, that didn't end up saving him in the end. Jozea was so optimistic about staying in the competition that it was mostly a shock to him that he was voted out in Week 1. After he was evicted, the house was a little bit quieter.
Victor Arroyo (Season 18)
Not only was Victor Arroyo a fan favorite known for his funny personality in season 18, but he also made Big Brother history for being the only person to get evicted twice and then re-enter the game twice. As much as the other houseguests wanted him out and got him out (two times), he managed to make his way back into the house. When he got evicted in Week 5, he won the Battle Back Competition, which gave him the opportunity to return to the game.
When he shockingly got evicted for a second time, he won the jury re-entry competition, making him the first Big Brother contestant to make a comeback twice in one season. America appreciated him as a game player, which resulted in him being another contestant to win America's Favorite Houseguest.
Chris Williams (Season 20)
Chris Williams, known as Swaggy C, was a fan favorite who left the game early in season 20. With a name like Swaggy C, it was hard for fans not to like him, but he quickly became an early target. He won two out of the first three competitions in the game, then had a hard time holding back his feelings. Both factors put on a target on his back. His game quickly went downhill, and he was backdoored and blindsided by his former alliance member, Kaitlyn Herman, who sent him home in 15th place. He was also known for his Big Brother showmance with Bayleigh Dayton, so it was sad for viewers to see him go much earlier than her. When they reunited at the finale night, he proposed, and the couple walked away from the show in a happy relationship.
James Huling (Season 17)
James Huling was known for being a nice guy, prankster, and being part of the Goblins alliance in season 17. He also admitted to having a crush on Meg Maley, which was entertaining for viewers to watch. He was the last person standing out of his alliance, but ultimately finished in seventh place. Despite his early eviction, fans didn't forget his lovable personality, and he won America's Favorite Houseguest. James came back for season 18, and America proved to still love him when they voted for him to receive America's Care Package in week seven and placed in the top three to win America's Favorite Houseguest.
Britney Haynes (Season 14)
Britney Haynes made an appearance on two memorable seasons of the show, seasons 12 and 14. She was one of the most likable Big Brother players, known for her sense of humor, her intelligence, and having close relationships with her allies in the house, specifically her close relationship with Ian Terry during season 14. However, finishing in eighth place on season 14 proved that her close allies weren't enough to keep her in the game. Although blindsides are common in the Big Brother house, they always come as a shock. When Dan Gheesling unexpectedly took himself off the block and Head of Household Frank Eudy decided to blindside Britney by putting her up and sending her home, it was unexpected. At the eviction, Britney made sure to call out Dan for having a big part in sending her home so early.
Jeff Schroeder (Season 13)
Memorable Big Brother contestant and fan-favorite Jeff Schroeder is remembered for his showmance with Jordan Lloyd in season 11, then coming back partnered with Jordan in season 13. The power couple came out strong after Jordan won the game in season 11 and Jeff was named America's Favorite Houseguest.
When Jeff came back in season 13, he still didn't make it to the end, getting sent home by a blindside that shocked Big Brother viewers. Without even making it to the Top 6, America loved him just as much the second time around in season 13, and he earned the America's Favorite Houseguest title a second time, making him the only person to win that prize twice.
Cliff Hogg (Season 21)
Cliff Hogg is a contestant who is hard to forget. Although he faced a few hurdles in the Big Brother house during season 21, his loving, caring, and quirky personality as well as his fatherly relationship with Nicole Anthony is what he is remembered for. But when Cliff was accidentally overheard sharing his gameplay to the cameras by a fellow houseguest, he became a target early on. Although he ended up getting evicted early, leaving in Week 3, he re-entered the house by winning the Camp Comeback Competition. Although he still wasn't able to make it to the finale, he was in the Top 3 to win America's Favorite Houseguest.
Marcellas Reynolds (Season 3)
Marcellas Reynolds was remembered for the shocking ending to his time on Big Brother in season 3. While it's usually the person on the block who gets blindsided in the Big Brother house, this time it was the nominee who shocked the house with his decision. Big Brother fans know that the one way that nominees can get themselves off the block is to win the Power of Veto and take themselves down. Marcellas did just that. He won the Power of Veto but, shockingly, he didn't use it to take himself off the block, which resulted in him going home. Viewers and houseguests were shocked by his decision to more of less send himself home in fifth place.
Dustin Erikstrup (Season 8)
Dustin Erikstrup was a hard one to see leave the house so early in season 8. He offered to put himself up for eviction only as a pawn next to Dick Donato, expecting to stay in the house without a problem. His decision to go up as a pawn ended up being a big mistake. Dustin lost control of both his game and the plan to be a pawn when Eric Stein was forced to vote to evict him as one of the tasks that viewers assigned Eric for the America's Player twist. Unfortunately, Dustin finished in 9th place, which he could have avoided if he never offered himself up as a pawn.
