Although she didn't win the $750K grand prize, Azah Awasum already has some big plans for the earnings she did receive from her time inside the Big Brother house this past summer. Throughout the duration of the competition, Azah was a part of the dominating six-person alliance the Cookout. In doing so, she worked closely with Tiffany Mitchell, Hannah Chaddha, Kyland Younger, Xavier Prather and Derek Frazier.

The alliance made Big Brother history by crowning the show's first Black winner. With a shared mission, the six houseguests did whatever it took to ensure they would make it to the final six together. To their surprise, just one week after succeeding in this mission, the group was quickly broken up by a second double eviction. Azah managed to not only survive this double eviction but remain in the game all the way until finale night. After winning the second part of the final Head of Household competition, Azah ultimately lost the final reign of power to Xavier in part three. Azah was then the last houseguests to be evicted from the game.

While the only known cash prizes for Big Brother are for second place, first place and America's Favorite Player, all of the players receive some type of stipend depending on how long they are in the game for. While the stipend amount remains unknown, Azah received the highest payout for season 23 aside from Xavier, Derek F. and Tiffany since she came in third place. Now that she has been out of the game for over a month, Azah already has big plans for how she is going to spend her money. She told Showbiz that there are two major things she wants to spend her earnings on. Her main goal is to put a large portion of the paycheck towards saving for her own house. She said, "Well, I’m putting that toward getting a house, so that’s one thing I’m putting together toward."

Azah is not the first former houseguest to use their earnings to save up for a new house. Season 18 winner Nicole Franzel recently used her Big Brother earnings to buy her and her family a new home as well. In addition to saving for a house, Azah would also like to use a portion of her earnings on a trip to Africa. Both of Azah's parents are from Africa, which is why Azah wants to travel there. Azah has yet to put together the details of her upcoming trip; however, she is hoping to go some time in December. While she is out there, Azah plans to visit Nigeria as well as possibly Ghana and Kenya.

Although Azah cannot disclose exactly how much money she earned from her time on Big Brother, it is perceived that she did in fact receive a hefty paycheck. Having such big plans for her earnings, Azah had to have received a large sum of money in order to go through with saving for a house as well as traveling to Africa. After spending three months locked up inside the Big Brother house away from reality, Azah deserved her earnings, no matter how much it was.
