Big Brother season 25 is nearly here, and the show should debut new competitions as it reaches this key milestone. It is exciting to watch new houseguests compete in the classic games of memory, logic, speed, and endurance. However, after so many years, it is also becoming predictable. Some of the most popular Big Brother competitions, including The Wall, OTEV, BB Comics, Slippery Slope, Dizzy Discs, and Roll it Down are also the most anticipated by the houseguests. When they win them, they wear their victories like badges of honor.

However, as Big Brother live feeders know, many of the houseguests spend the entire season anticipating when certain competitions will happen. This is because they are superfans of the show, and have been preparing for them for many years. During Big Brother 24, Alyssa Snider shared that she used to practice The Wall competition as a child, in a makeshift version that she and her mom created. Houseguests also know exactly what to memorize, including which days competitions and evictions occurred, in order to use the information in memory competitions. Although these dress rehearsals could never replicate the real competitions, the fact that the houseguests know what to expect takes away some of the suspense. Big Brother 25 should have brand-new competitions for many reasons.

Big Brother 25 Will Be More Exciting With New Games

As Big Brother celebrates its silver anniversary, it should be bigger and better than ever. Predictable, repetitive competitions just won't cut it anymore. It is tiresome to watch the same games year after year, making the show predictable and sometimes outright boring. Although it might be expected that Big Brother 25 would be nostalgic, turning the game on its head for season 25 would bring some excitement.

Possible Returning Big Brother Houseguests Will Not Have An Advantage

Rumors have been circulating that Big Brother 25 will feature returning players in some capacity. While it probably won't be another all-stars season since Big Brother 22: All-Stars was only three years ago, there has been speculation that past houseguests will be in the cast. If this is true, those players will have a distinct advantage over the new houseguests in competitions that they have played before. Of course, this could backfire on them and make them immediate targets as well, sending home fan-favorite returning houseguests early. If the Big Brother 25 games are all-new, then everyone will be on an even playing field.

Big Brother 25 Should Be The Most Challenging Season Yet

Big Brother 25 should take the game to a whole new level. Houseguests should be challenged in new ways, and pushed to their limits, especially if there are returning players. Viewers who have been watching for the past two decades deserve a refreshing and different season. The players, some of whom have waited years for their chance to compete, also should have the opportunity to break ground on the show with something new. If the Big Brother 25 games are all-new, perhaps the show should also consider raising the grand prize money to $1 million.

Big Brother 25 has been creating buzz since the series was renewed for its milestone anniversary season. Whether there are all-new houseguests, a mix of returning and new players, or a cast of all-stars, the competitions need a refresh. Creating a set of brand-new competitions would bring the show into a new era, and make it thrilling for both houseguests and superfans. After all, Big Brother's slogan is "Expect the unexpected."
