With season 24 of Big Brother officially underway, fans of the show have been busy analyzing the new houseguests. The cast is composed entirely of newbies to not only Big Brother, but to reality TV in general. Not much is known about them, besides anything revealed in the limited time they have been on the live feeds.

Reddit has been a popular spot for superfans to discuss their early hot takes, including many trying to predict not only who will win the game, but who will be out first. While everyone had varying views, there were some overwhelming general consensus viewpoints.

Joseph "Pooch" Pucciarelli

Pooch from Big Brother 24

Pooch won his safety for week one via the backstage boss twist, but users of Reddit are still skeptical about his long-term prospects.

Many users discussed him being a potential week one boot, and even though that will not be happening, user bclark39 made a still possible prediction. "Second boot after a disastrous first HOH," is what they commented, and while he did not win HoH, his backstage boss powers are comparable, and they could backfire quickly.

Matt Turner

Matt claimed that he will "run the game" as a "competition beast" but houseguests who enter the house being as cocky as that usually don't last long, and Reddit completely agreed.

Redditor HuskyDJ2015 wrote, "Anybody else getting First Boot Energy from Matt?" He may need to humble himself a bit first, only returning with the confident energy once he earns it. Many think he won't even be there long enough to do that.

Indy Santos

Indy Santos from big brother 24

Originally from Brazil, Indy grew up with an international version of Big Brother. While it is similar to the U.S. version, it does have many differences that Indy will have to adapt to.

The difficult adjustment, in combination with her saying she will not care how people perceive her, led most Redditors to believe that she will be fun to watch, but probably not a winner. One user, nvatural, summed it up best, commenting "I'm getting iconic prejury villain vibes from Indy."

Terrance Higgins

The odds are seemingly stacked against Terrance, and for reasons completely out of his control. As the oldest contestant in the house, he doesn't totally line up with everyone else.

Redditor SoFriCo2013 mentioned how the "token older person" usually ends up as one of the earlier boots. While casting did do a better job by bringing in a diverse cast this season, history tells fans that he may be out quickly.

Jasmine Davis

Jasmine Davis Big Brother 24

Jasmine did not receive much hype or discussion early on, as her interview answers were short, and she hasn't gotten much airtime on the show yet. Many took her short answers as her not knowing much about the game, which could lead to an early exit.

Commenter LuvSausage wrote, "I fully expect her to be a early consensus boot." While that may sound harsh, it is what a lot of people were thinking.

Brittany Hoopes

Brittany Hoopes from big brother 24

Brittany was one of the most discussed new houseguests, as she has one of the most intriguing personalities. Unfortunately for her, a fun personality alone does not win Big Brother.

She is very high energy, and she didn't really seem like she had a strategy going into the house. She's also a superfan, a casting archetype that usually does not go far. Chicagoredditor1 combined this all, commenting "Brittany the super fan going in with[out] a plan on how to succeed - sounds like a quick fan favorite with no social game who will be out in the first few weeks."

Daniel Durston

Daniel Durson in Big Brother 24

Daniel won the first HoH, which historically has been a good thing in raising a houseguest's chance of winning. Reddit seems to not think it will matter this season, with very few users thinking he has a good shot of winning.

User warpedbytherain commented, "Most likely to play too hard too fast: Daniel." These players are usually ousted quickly, and with Daniel looking to pull off a backdoor attempt this early, the prediction could come to fruition.

Alyssa Snider

Alyssa Snider Big Brother 24

Based on her early interview answers and her first few days on the live feeds, Alyssa was pegged by Reddit as a player who could go far but might not have what it takes to win it all. She's inoffensive and kind, but it's unclear if she will be willing to make difficult moves when necessary.

User Candy23422 wrote, "Nice person who doesn't really do anything in the game. Similar to Analyse." Considering Analyse was able to make it to jury on season 21, Alyssa does have a shot.

Taylor Hale

Taylor Hale from Big Brother 24

Before the season started, Taylor was one of the most popular picks to win, or at the very least make it far. She gave winning answers in her pregame interviews, with Redditor ArgHuff commenting "they gave perfect answers."

Unfortunately, Taylor has been the victim of bullying in the house, with many members having a seemingly unfounded vendetta against her. Her chances of surviving long with these people may be tragically slim, but if she can recover, she could be dangerous.

Kyle Capener

Kyle Capener from season 24 of big brother

Kyle enters the house as one of the most popular season 24 houseguests on social media, which is both a blessing and a curse. He should gain favor with his sense of humor, but he also may be too invested in gaining new fans over winning the game.

User cdstoddard commented, "Kyle will do well for the prejury but have a major fall in the second half, a la Paulie." While that isn't a glowing endorsement, making it through the early stages of the game based on being liked does increase his odds of going all the way.

Monte Taylor

Monte Taylor Big Brother 24

Monte was held in high regard as a gameplayer by much of Reddit for two reasons. One was his career as a personal trainer, which should give him an advantage in physical competitions, with the other being his personality appearing to be a more lowkey one that will not cause drama.

He was a popular pick to at least make jury, with some users such as Lightsandsheets going as far as saying "I predict Monte wins."

Paloma Aguilar

Paloma in Big Brother 24

Based on her pregame statements, Paloma was a houseguest that fans had hope for. Her first week in the house has led many to cool off on her, but she still does have potential if she can improve on some of her flaws.

Her treatment of some of her housemates and coming out as strong as she did on day one has raised some concerns, but her willingness to play hard and do what she thinks is best for her game is promising. Commenter ScorpionTDC said, "Paloma’s video interview gives me faith in her too and I’ll go to [bat] for her having potential also."

Nicole Layog

Nicole Layog from big brother 24

Nicole has multiple factors in her favor that give Reddit users hope she can make it far, including secretly being a cop, much like Derek LeVasseur, who was not only the champion of season 16 but also known as one of the best contestants of all time.

User Somebody_Who_Exists brought up a more superstitious point, writing "Nicole will come in 4th. So far, we've had a Nicole come in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. It's time for a Nicole to come in 4th." Fourth isn't first, but just getting that far gives her a good chance to win.

Joseph Abdin

Joseph Abdin from big brother 24

Joseph was a last-minute addition to the cast, and that last-minute change could alter the outcome of the whole season. Reddit users were intrigued by his potential, with many liking his odds of making a deep run.

User Orihibae explained why well, commenting "he's conventionally attractive and not outgoing enough to make himself a big social threat. even if he doesn't win, I think he makes a deep run." Add in the fact that he is a lawyer, the same profession as season 23's iconic winner Xavier, and he could have what it takes to win it all.

Ameerah Jones

A portrait of Ameerah from Big Brother 24.

Ameerah received plenty of hype online from her pregame interviews. She portrayed herself as a calculated gameplayer who will be loyal to her alliance, but also not be afraid to say what's on her mind and make the moves that need to be made, even if others may be afraid to do so.

Poster kurenzhi commented, "Her body language is pretty natural and confident and I think she'll be able to ride a middle line between frankness and calculated communication." The expectations for Ameerah are quite high.

Michael Brunner

Michael Bruner from big brother 24

Throughout Reddit, Michael was the most popular choice for winning the season. Some of it may be because he was generally well liked based on his interview answers and early game start, but there were also genuine game reasons.

Redditor NameGoesHere86 commented, "My current winners pick, as long as he doesn’t play too hard. Seems to know the game well, and will be a fun watch." While that may be a simple answer, it is valid. He is a superfan who has put in a lot of time to study and perfect his strategy, and he is also likable and shouldn't cause any issues in the house.
