The Big Brother 24 Final 3 houseguests, Taylor Hale, Monte Taylor, and Matt "Turner" Turner, are about to compete for the $750,000 grand prize, and they are the most evenly matched trio in recent memory. Each of them has played well-rounded games and did not coast or float to the end. In the previous five seasons of Big Brother, there were Final 3 groups in which some players were viewed as unworthy of making it that far in the game. In Big Brother 23, each member of The Cookout arguably played an essential role in the alliance. However, the Final 3, made up of Azäh Awasum, Derek Frazier, and Xavier Prather, had a clear frontrunner in Xavier, who won the game unanimously. His runner-up Derek did not win a single competition, but argued that it was his social game that got him to the end. Azäh won her only HOH competition during the double eviction on Day 71, and she did not win any Power of Veto competitions. Most fans argued that Tiffany Mitchell and Kyland Young were more deserving of being in the Final 3 with Xavier.

In Big Brother 22, the second all-stars season, unanimous winner Cody Calafiore was lightyears ahead of his Final 3 opponents, Enzo Palumbo and Nicole Franzel, winning 4 HOH and 4 veto competitions. He was also never nominated for eviction. The same was true of Big Brother 21 winner Jackson Michie versus Holly Allen and Nicole Anthony. In Big Brother 20, winner Kaycee Clark had a worthy opponent in runner-up Tyler Crispen, but third place finisher JC Mounduix's resumé could not compete with them. Josh Martinez won Big Brother 19 when a bitter jury chose him over Paul Abrahamian. Their Final 3 competitor was Christmas Abbott, whose ability to compete fully was impeded when she broke her foot during week 1.

Unlike the previous five seasons, Big Brother 24 features a Final 3 in which every houseguest is deserving of the win. Taylor will go down in history as one of the biggest underdogs to ever play the game. Early in the game, she was the house target and the victim of bullying and micro-aggressions from her fellow houseguests. Taylor was nominated for eviction six times in weeks 1, 2, 4, 8, 10, and 12. In the beginning of the game, she survived the chopping block when Paloma Aguilar self-evicted during the first week and when the house decided to blindside Joe "Pooch" Pucciarelli in week 2. Taylor won two HOH competitions during season 24.

Turner, Taylor & Monte on Big Brother 24

Monte also won two HOH competitions during Big Brother 24. However, his biggest move came when he won the Power of Veto during the second half of the double eviction when he teamed up with HOH Turner to evict comp beast Michael Bruner from the game. With his second veto, he cast the sole vote to evict Michael's number one ally Brittany. Turner's three HOH wins were also very impressive. He managed to blindside Ameerah Jones, evict Kyle Capener after his problematic racial comments were revealed, and finally get powerhouse Michael out of the house.

Throughout Big Brother 24, Taylor, Monte, and Turner worked to build their resumés. As members of the dominant Leftovers alliance, they were able to make big moves in the house even when they were not in power. They did not sit back and let others do the work for them, but instead got plenty of blood on their hands by playing strong games. It is refreshing to have a Big Brother Final 3 group with three members who truly deserve to win.

The Big Brother 24 finale airs Sunday, September 25 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
