It has felt like a long time since All-Stars ended, so the fans are eager to learn everything that we already know about the upcoming Big Brother 23. After what was a somewhat disappointing BB22, the fans are looking forward to watching new houseguests coming in to compete for $500,000 after a series of power struggles, game moves, and tough competitions. As the latest All-Stars season ended, CBS did indeed announce that it was picking up Big Brother 23 for the summer of 2021.

While it is true that we are still far from the summer, certain news about Big Brother 23 have already come out in the press and on social media. Furthermore, certain inferences can be made based on recent updates and official statements regarding the upcoming BB23 season. But all the fans can agree on one thing: everyone is ready to watch a cast of fresh houseguests who are hungry to compete and who are willing to play their best game in order to win. From the looks of it, CBS is definitely gearing up to give us just that.

One of the most exciting updates to have already come out from Big Brother 23 is that the season will have a new casting director: Jesse Tannenbaum. Generally, Jesse is known for having worked in casting for shows like Survivor and the Big Brother: Over The Top spin-off. This means that the series' long-time casting director, Robyn Kass, has been effectively replaced. In 2020, CBS had to significantly delay Big Brother 22: All-Stars due to the ever-growing concern with the COVID-19 pandemic. However, BB23 has already been announced for the summer of 2021, and there is no reason for the season to be delayed like BB22 was.

With that in mind, the fans can definitely expect Big Brother 23 to have a more traditional release date that looks like the series' previous years prior to the latest All-Stars. Generally, recent seasons of Big Brother always premiere on the very last Wednesday of the month of June. In 2021, that would land on Wednesday. June 30, 2021, which is our expected premiere date for BB23. While the mantra of the show is to always "expect the unexpected", a big deal has been made about the casting process this year. After the not-so-great BB22 season of returning players, Big Brother 23 is expected to only feature brand-new houseguests to the series.

We are still so far, yet also so close to Big Brother 23. Nonetheless, there is a lot of excitement happening during this pre-season. Hopefully, this will translate into a very exciting season for the fans to watch.
