The Cookout has largely dominated Big Brother 23 thus far, but this alliance will likely break up into three separate duos in the coming weeks. When the Cookout alliance was first formed in week 1, it included Azah Awasum, Derek Frazier, Kyland Young, Tiffany Mitchell, and Xavier Prather. Over the weeks, the Cookout added Hannah Chaddha as an official member, making it an even six-person alliance. No player outside the Cookout is aware that it exists.

The origins of the Cookout alliance are straightforward: there was never a large alliance in Big Brother history to only feature Black houseguests. In fact, the only other all-Black alliance on BB was last year's Black Girl Magic, which consisted of just Da'Vonne Rogers and Bayleigh Dayton. On BB23, the Cookout has already managed to save all six of its members from being evicted pre-jury. It is very clear that the Cookout allies want this season to feature the first-ever Black winner of Big Brother in the United States.

The Cookout is still alive and well on Big Brother 23. In truth, this alliance is dominating the game when it comes to competition wins and social games. Alas, while it would be fantastic for these six players to get to Final 6, there's a chance that they won't all make it there. At this point in the game, it is extremely likely that the Cookout will break into three duos.

Azah Awasum & Derek Frazier

Azah and Derek F.'s strong bond started when they were both picked for the Jokers team on BB23. Considering that they have yet to win a single competition on the show and have already lost Jokers teammates Brandon Frenchie and Britini D'Angelo along the way, Azah and Derek F. are aware that they might be at the bottom of the Cookout's totem pole when it comes to influence. Their friendship will likely grow even more in the coming weeks and could transform them into a standalone duo.

Tiffany Mitchell & Hannah Chaddha

So far, Tiffany's main partner in the game has been Claire Rehfuss. However, Claire isn't a part of the Cookout, and Tiff is starting to realize that she might target Cookout members if she were to become a Head of Household. As a result, Tiffany has been slowly turning Hannah into her biggest ally within the Big Brother Cookout. Tiffany and Hannah play similar games and have an equal distaste for emotional players like Azah and Derek F. Therefore, it is very likely that Tiff and Hannah will operate as a duo once the Cookout implodes.

Xavier Prather & Kyland Young

The most obvious power duo within the Cookout alliance is Xavier and Kyland, who even struck a Final 2 deal in the game. While it's true that Kyland is very close to Sarah Beth Steagall, she isn't a part of the Cookout. In turn, Xavier has been very loyal to the Kings team he used to be a part of. However, when push comes to shove, there's little to no doubt that Kyland and Xavier will be the most loyal to each other on Big Brother 23. Given that they're both comp beasts, it is a huge possibility that they could take each other very far in the season.
