The Slick Six and the Committee are the two dominant alliances emerging on Big Brother 22: All-Stars, and they have three people in common. Strong alliances have been a Big Brother staple for many years. The first prominent alliance of the show was BB2's Chilltown, which consisted of Dr. Will, Mike Boogie, and Shannon. On BB6, the house was split between the Friendship and the Sovereign Six, which competed week after week for power. Years later, Dan and Memphis formed what is one of the most powerful alliances in the history of the show: the Renegades. Of note, there were also Enzo's Brigade (BB12) and Ian's Quack Pack (BB14).
The trend of having larger alliances began on Big Brother 16 with the Bomb Squad, which had nine members. Most of the Bomb Squad members were great at competitions and had a large influence on how the game was played. Over time, this alliance was reconfigured and rebranded as the Detonators. Since BB16, every season of the show has featured a very large alliance that held all control. Alliances like the Sixth Sense (BB17), the 8-Pack (BB18), Level Six (BB20), and Gr8ful (BB21) took many of their members all the way to the end. Now, two dominant alliances are also starting to emerge on BB22.
There are several alliances on Big Brother: All-Stars, and the fans are already starting to feel like this one of the most confusing seasons of all time. With that said, there are now two large alliances that seem strong enough to establish dominance and take their members very far. The first strong alliance of the game is the Committee, which consists of Cody, Daniele, Tyler, Memphis, Nicole Franzel, and Christmas. This is the alliance that Janelle and Kaysar are slowly starting to figure out and wish they can dismantle. However, there is also a second, more discreet six-person alliance in the house: the Slick Six. This group consists of Cody, Daniele, Tyler, Bayleigh, Da'Vonne, and Enzo. It is essentially a natural evolution from the original Connect 4 alliance, now making room for Daniele and Tyler.
It is important to note that Cody, Daniele, and Tyler are in both of these dominant alliances. However, fans must also take into consideration the smaller agreements that might influence how those larger groups will work. For instance, Cody, Daniele, Enzo, and Nicole Franzel have a Cour Four alliance that excludes Tyler, Memphis, Bayleigh, and Da'Vonne. Moreover, Nicole Franzel has a Final 2 agreement with Ian called Million Club... despite the fact that Ian isn't in any of the larger alliances. There is also a very strong Final 2 deal between Bayleigh and Da'Vonne, which they have named Black Girl Magic.
Only time will tell how things are going to shake up on Big Brother 22. For now, the Slick Six and the Committee are the two large alliances that have the potential to go all the way. But as with every season of BB, anything can happen.
