The Big Brother 22: All-Stars finale is almost here, and the fans are curious to learn how much the winner will take home in grand prize money. In 20 years, this franchise has had 22 regular seasons, one Over The Top spin-off, and two Celebrity Big Brother editions. A lot of houseguests came and went, but only a select few entered the winners' circle and finished their respective seasons taking home the first-place prize. On BB1, the series relied on public voting. However, that format quickly changed on BB2 and has been the same ever since.

Every year, three players get to the end of Big Brother and compete in a three-part final Head of Household competition. The contestant that wins the first part gets to automatically move onto the third part of the final HOH. The remaining two houseguests then compete on the second part for a chance to face off in the third and last competition. Whoever wins the final HOH gets to decide which of the Final 3 houseguests to take to the end. The Final 2 players then get to plead their cases to the jury at the finale, and the person who gets the most votes takes home the grand prize.

The winner of Big Brother: All-Stars will receive a grand prize of $500,000. The runner-up of the season will take home $50,000. These have been the same amounts of money that the show has been giving out since Big Brother 1. That means that the total grand prize amount has remained unchanged in 20 years. In 2020, CBS did raise the grand prize for Survivor: Winners At War from $1 million to $2 million. When the network announced that this year's Big Brother season would be an All-Stars edition, some fans did wonder if the show would finally double its $500,000 grand prize to $1 million. However, that never happened. On the other hand, each contestant on BB22 did earn a reported $40,000 stipend just to show up for the season, which is a significant amount of money.

At the moment, the three finalists on Big Brother 22 are Cody Calafiore, Enzo Palumbo, and Nicole Franzel. One of them will be evicted just before making it to the Final 2. The other two will move onto the finale and plead their cases to the jury for a chance to win $500,000. The runner-up will take home $50,000. Then, host Julie Chen will announce which contestant received the most votes from the public to become America's Favorite Houseguest and will go home with a prize of $25,000.

The fans do find it a bit odd that the grand prize amount on Big Brother hasn't changed at all in two decades. When accounting for inflation and taxes, that amount of money on BB22 just isn't worth the same as it was on BB1.
