Memphis Garrett was one of the frontrunners on Big Brother 22: All-Stars, but his ruthless overconfidence cost him the game in the end. The fans didn't know what to expect from Memphis on this new season. On Big Brother 10, Memphis was one half of the very successful Renegades alliance with Dan Gheesling. However, the fans widely credited Dan for most of the moves made by the Renegades, and Memphis was portrayed as just an ally that helped them get to the end. With zero Head of Household competition wins, Memphis was also not remembered as a comp beast.

But it didn't take long for the Big Brother 22 fans to see Memphis in a new light. He was no longer the carefree mixologist from BB10, he was now a father in his late 30s who wanted to sleep early. In addition, Memphis was no number 2 this time around. He won three HOHs and one POV, he formalized the dominant Committee alliance early on, and he made it to Final 5 without a scratch. It was becoming very clear to the viewers that the BB22 endgame would be a match between Cody and Memphis, except that Memphis' overall temperament and ruthless strategic moves ended up burning him before he could make it to Final 4.

The consensus among the fans who watched Big Brother: All-Stars is that Memphis Garrett was a good player who got too cocky about his position in the game. He took the Committee alliance very seriously, and it did work out for those six alliance members to get to the Final 7. He then trusted his Final 2 agreement with Cody Calafiore, known as the Commission, and his two separate Final 3 deals with Enzo Palumbo, which were known as the Wise Guys. But it was hard for the All-Stars to trust Memphis toward the end of BB22. He very strictly limited his visitors in the HOH room. He never discussed his nominations with anybody else. He thought that his Final 2 and Final 3 deals were bulletproof. Memphis thought that his control of the game was unmatched, but his lackluster social game ended up overshadowing any of his strategic moves.

When the Triple Eviction on BB22 destroyed the Committee alliance and it was every person for him or herself, Memphis was thrown into a very strange position in the game. Cody, Nicole, and Enzo targeted Tyler first, but Memphis was definitely the next person on their list. So even when Memphis was nominated against Christmas, the players didn't shy away from evicting him first. And just like that, Memphis became the 7th jury member of the season.

The Big Brother 22 finale is almost here, and Memphis will help decide who wins the $500,000 grand prize during the finale. With that said, he had a real shot at winning the whole thing, if only his social game helped him go farther in the game.
