Since it premiered all the way back in the year 2000, CBS' Big Brother has featured many memorable showmances. Longtime viewers of the popular competition series have noticed that there seems to be at least one for every season. Some of these couples have managed to beat the odds and make it last outside of the house. Certain pairs are even married and starting families. However, others haven't been so lucky.

Amongst the show's many couples were season 19 contestants Raven Walton and Matthew Clines. Dance teacher Raven and renovation consultant Matt had a super strong connection almost instantly. Season 19 was fairly controversial, and this couple was a part of that. The two seemed barely concerned with winning the game and much more interested in getting to know each other better. The lack of interest in the actual competition could annoy both Big Brother fans and their fellow HouseGuests. Ultimately, Matt sacrificed himself to save Raven, landing in eighth place. Raven herself was evicted soon after. They may not have won the show, but has their love story continued off camera?

The two were both quite quirky, which could be what drew them together in the first place. Matt became infamous for the truly outrageous amounts of cereal he would eat. Raven's odd behavior, meanwhile, was much more controversial. She had her elaborate stories, particularly about her numerous health issues and injuries. Many viewers thought she was either over exaggerating or not telling the truth at all. There were attempts to prove her stories wrong, and #ExposeRavenParty even went viral on Twitter. The other contestants started to doubt her as well. Despite the backlash, Raven maintained she was telling the truth. Matt also defended her, telling Entertainment Tonight that he believed everything she told him.

The pair did continue to date after the show. In 2018, Matt even kept fans updated on Raven's health, indicating that they were still together. However, after appearing to be together for about a year, they have since split up. Some eagle-eyed fans noticed Matt's online dating profiles, indicating his single status. Raven and Matt live in different states, so perhaps the distance was an issue. While they are no longer romantically involved, Raven and Matt have fortunately remained friends. This has certainly left them on better terms than some other showmances.

Big Brother is currently in season 22, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Fans can surely look forward to (or dread) more showmances in the years to come. Whether or not they last, however, is another story.
