As Big Brother 24 wraps up, the season looks as if it might be ranked high compared to other modern seasons. When looking back at the show's greatest seasons of all time, however, one stands out as the bery best. Big Brother 14 was a wild season that had a bit of everything.

BB14 had all the ingredients that make a season special — so many iconic moments, as well as iconic players, that will live in Big Brother history forever.

Returning Players

The biggest twist of the season was the four legends who returned to the game. It is not always a good season when players come back, but these four made an impact when they returned.

Fan favorites Dan, Janelle, Brittany and Boogie all returned to the Big Brother House. Big Brother 13 also had players return, but that was viewed as a mediocre season. Casting picked the right four to return to the house the next time around, and all of them felt as if they had unfinished business left in the house.

Coach's Twist

Not only would there be returning houseguests, but they would act as coaches and not players. This was a shock as it marked the first time there were coaches in Big Brother.

There were teams in Big Brother 11, but it was not exactly like the coaches twist. The new houseguests were split into four teams and learned the game from Big Brother legends, adding a fun, refreshing wrinkle. The twist also ended at the perfect time, and the coaches entered the game as players in week four.

Night One Eviction

Big Brother's Jodi

Big Brother 14 was the first time there was an eviction on the first night. Jodi, who is known as one of the most unlucky Big Brother houseguests ever, was evicted on the first night.

If a modern season of Big Brother did this again, it most likely would not be well received by fans. However, this was an exciting twist in the game. It also meant there was a lot more pressure to win, or at least not come in last, in the first HOH competition. Dan's team lost, and he cast the sole vote to evict Jodi, which ended her Big Brother journey almost as quickly as it began.

Willie Hantz's Expulsion

Willie won HOH the first week, but the power went to his head. He got in some trouble as he was disrespectful towards the women in the house, but he was expelled when he got into a physical confrontation with Joe.

It's usually a bummer when Big Brother players need to quit the game. Willie was not in this boat as fans were happy to see him leave. Willie's blowup was inevitable yet entertaining. It initiated the excitement that the rest of the season would follow.

Janelle's Blindside

Janelle was one of the best players to ever step inside the Big Brother House. When she returned for the third time, she looked to finally win it all.

However, she was immediately in trouble when the coach's officially entered the game. Danielle won HOH and the consensus target was Frank. Boogie advocated for Danielle to backdoor Janelle. Danielle did decide to backdoor her former ally in one of the most shocking betrayals between women on Big Brother. Her reputation preceded her which made it tough for her to go far in Big Brother 14 as she did not make the jury.

Ian Orchestrating Boogie's Blindside

Ian was underestimated by his coach Boogie, who believed Ian was with him 100 percent. However, Ian made a legendary game move when he backstabbed Boogie and turned against him and Frank.

Ian joined the Quack Pack with Dan, Danielle, Brittany, and Shane. Boogie told Ian and Frank that he wanted to go after the other Quack Pack members. Frank and Boogie had no idea it was Ian who betrayed them and Boogie's reaction was priceless when Ian revealed what happened in his goodbye message. Ian's blindside was one of the most ruthless betrayals between bros on Big Brother.

Dan's Funeral

Dan's funeral is commonly known as the best and most iconic move in Big Brother history. He was in deep trouble after Frank wanted him gone since he still believed he told Shane and Brittany about Boogie.

He had 24 hours in solitary confinement and came up with a great plan. He had a house meeting where he complimented the other houseguests and yelled at Danielle for something she did not do. Then he went to Frank and outed the Quack Pack, which exposed Ian and Brittany. Frank got Jen to use the veto on Dan and he was saved. This move alone makes Big Brother 14 an all-time season.

Franks Underdog Story

Frank had his back against the wall since the first week. He was nominated six times in Big Brother 14.

Frank was looked at as a strong physical threat, so he was targeted any time he was vulnerable. When the Silent Six turned on him and evicted Boogie and Ashley in one night, he was alone. However, he won a lot of HOHs and vetoes to save himself. In one particular competition, he had to beat the whole house in head-to-head matchups. It was a blast to see Frank keep his game alive.

Ian Saves Himself With The Veto

Down the stretch, Dan really tried to evict Ian and in the second half of the week eight double eviction, he thought it would be a perfect time. However, Ian thwarted his plans and won the veto.

Dan won the HOH and nominated Ian, as he convinced him he had to do the same thing with Memphis in Big Brother 10. Dan then talked to Shane and said if he does not come down, then he should be evicted. Then, Ian pulls out perhaps the most clutch competition win in Big Brother history as he wins the veto, which forced Dan to nominate Joe.

Dan Blindsiding Shane

Dan knew as he went into the final four, he had to break Shane and Danielle up. When he was the sole vote to evict, he made the blindside of the summer.

Danielle won HOH and veto that week, so she had all the power. Dan convinced her to use the veto on him, so he could take the shot at Ian. She agreed and used the veto, only for Dan to go back on his word. He stood in front of the three and evicted Shane. After all that Dan put Danielle through this season, she was still the only vote for him to win in the finale.
