Fans have missed a major wedding in The Big Bang Theory. It's been more than a year since the CBS sitcom wrapped up with an emotional finale. All major characters got their respective happily-ever-afters, except for one: Raj (Kunal Nayyar), who remained single until the very end. What makes this worse is that he is also the only unmarred Koothrappali kid, since Priya (Aarti Mann) already tied the knot.
While the character was officially introduced in The Big Bang Theory season 4, her history with the guys dates back to 2005 when they first met her through Raj. At that point, Howard (Simon Helberg) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) decided not to flirt with her out of respect for their friend, despite both being attracted to her. Leonard, however, broke this code, as he began a sexual relationship with Priya. Fortunately, things went nowhere, and they had to break it off since Priya had to go back to India. Several years later, when she returned to Los Angeles, she and Leonard restarted their affair on the heels of his break up with Penny (Kaley Cuoco), and this time, they went public with it. Raj was understandably against it at first, but realizing that he can't do anything about it, he eventually accepted the relationship.
That said, Leonard and Priya's romantic relationship was never meant to last. Aside from having to deal with the long-distance set-up, they simply weren't serious enough with each other to move forward with it. They both ultimately cheated in season 5, which marked the official end of their relationship. What's interesting, they might have gotten married to different people around the same time - the only difference is, The Big Bang Theory made an event of Leonard and Penny's wedding but didn't even give any importance to Priya's. In fact, the show didn't mention her wedding.
Priya's final physical appearance in The Big Bang Theory was all the way back to season 5. After her break-up with Leonard, she was never shown on-screen again, although she's been mentioned a couple of times since. One of The Big Bang Theory's most subtle and interesting references to her, however, happens to also be the last. In The Big Bang Theory season 10, episode 16, "The Allowance Evaporation," Raj's father, V.M. Koothrappali (Brian George), got into an argument about how the astrophysicist remained financially dependent on his parents despite being a full-grown adult who has a good job. During their conversation, Mr. Koothrappali mentioned that five out of his six children are already married, meaning not only is Raj the only person who's single, but also that sometime between The Big Bang Theory season 5 and season 10, Priya got married. No additional details were given, as Priya wasn't even name-dropped during the father and son's call.
Given Raj's lack of reaction to his father's comments about all his siblings already married, it's safe to say that he knew that Priya had settled down. That said, this was never explicitly mentioned in The Big Bang Theory, and there's no indication that Raj went home for the family affair. Considering how Priya was once a pivotal character in The Big Bang Theory, being Raj's sister and Leonard's ex-girlfriend, it's surprising that the sitcom didn't even give fans a proper update about her wedding.
