In June, Deadline announced that Jm Parsons would star in the upcoming off-Broadway play, A Man of No Importance. Since starring as Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, Parsons was also a part of Broadway's The Boys in the Band, proving that he has as much talent on the stage as he does on the TV or movie screen.

Even though Parsons has proved his talent in more ways than one, he'll be forever known as the quirky and brilliant Sheldon Cooper. His love for science, ignorance of social norms, and misunderstandings of sarcasm were what made him one of the funniest characters on TBBT. Those moments made for entertaining memes that described his character perfectly.

Physics Students Understood Sheldon's Frustrations

A split image of Sheldon and his brain from TBBT

Instagram user @Fact_and_space shared a meme for physics students (and those in similar fields). In season 10, Sheldon was jealous that Bert was given a grant for his research in geology. Sheldon never respected the field and wanted to see the kind of work that was granted such freedom.

Sheldon screamed, "Why!?" after every page he read, but when he concluded, he realized how Bert tied his research together. It made complete sense. This meme sums up Sheldon's character because even know he wasn't a student of physics anymore, he still questioned other areas of science that he was unfamiliar with. Fans found Sheldon annoyed for how he treated Bert but they felt better when Sheldon finally admitted to finding merit in his work.

Sheldon The Man Child

Sheldon is the kind of character who cannot sleep when he has an upcoming project or an amazing finding in the works. He'd rather find answers on little to no sleep than go to sleep and rest. Some of Sheldon's best episodes were when he was on the brink of scientific brilliance and refused to do anything helpful until his job was done.

Hilariously, Instagram user @HoneyMustardDrama compared Sheldon's actions to that of children. And in a lot of ways, Sheldon's behavior resembled children's, which is why his best friends and roommates were often viewed as his parents.

Move Over, Rose. You're In Sheldon's Spot

There were a few continuity errors when it came to Sheldon's quirks, pet peeves, and likes. But the one thing that was always consistent was his dedication to his "spot" on the couch. Even when Sheldon moved out of his apartment to move in with Amy, he was upset when others sat in his spot.

@RedWoldDotin created the perfect meme, replacing Jack from The Titanic with Sheldon. Even in the direst of situations, Sheldon would be bothered by someone in his spot — even if it were on a door in the middle of the Atlantic.

Bazinga, Punk!

It wasn't just The Titanic that fans have implemented Sheldon or his catchphrases, it's the Spider-Man franchise as well. @On_Set_Big_Bang_Theory shared a scene from Spider-Man where MJ and Spider-Man were having an intense conversation. The meme's creator took a note from Sheldon's handbook and had Spider-Man say "Bazinga" as a joke.

Since Sheldon wasn't the best at receiving or handing out jokes, he often said "Bazinga" to let his friends know when he was kidding. The catchphrase was so out of character that it became one of Sheldon's more famous quotes in the series.

Sheldon Had A Hard Time Leaving Penny And Leonard Alone

Leonard and Penny's relationship was a roller coaster for fans. From strangers to neighbors to friends to crushes... these two grew up with each other and got to know each other inside and out before finally settling down and marrying.

Whenever Leonard and Penny tried having some alone time that didn't allow Sheldon, he'd always interrupt them in some fashion. When the two were at Penny's apartment, Sheldon would knock three times on the door so they knew it was him. This meme poked fun at the three characters but it also described Sheldon's personality to a T. Wherever Penny and Leonard hid, Sheldon always found them.

Just How Much Did Penny Owe Leonard And Sheldon Anyway?

@GBangTheory.memes.on created the perfect meme depicting just how much money Penny owed Sheldon and Leonard over the years. Because of Penny's gorgeous looks and lack of acting work, she was able to get by on bills and food thanks to Leonard's generosity.

She's borrowed money for food, rent, cable, clothes — just about anything a person could want or need. And while the series did show Penny paying Leonard back in the end, Leonard laughed when she said they were now "even." This proved how much Leonard and Sheldon shelled out to help a friend in need. Sheldon was surprisingly level-headed about lending Penny money when she needed it — just like the character's nonchalant faces in the meme.

Sheldon Was As Invested In Penny & Leonard As Fans Were

Sheldon was thrown through a loop with every breakup Leonard and Penny had. Although they loved each other, their differences stood in the way of their happiness. Out of all of Leonard's relationships, he was most fulfilled by his time with Penny.

Since Sheldon was comfortable with Penny, this meme hits home for his character. He wasn't a fan of new people in his life or routines that were different from his own. As Sheldon's roommate, whenever Leonard and Penny broke up, he was bothered by the near future and what that would mean for him

Little Miss Know It All

There are countless The Big Bang Theory memes that sum up the show. From Raj's love for his dog to Sheldon's distaste for germs — there's a meme for every fan. And with the current popular trend of "Little Miss" memes, this one screamed Sheldon's character

As the self-appointed smartest one in the group, Sheldon is a know-it-all. He knew the answers to every question and threw in his two cents when it wasn't needed. Fans who live and breathe for TBBT may have a similar response to things after binging the series. Thanks to Sheldon teaching fans new things about science and customers, some now feel they too act like a know-it-all.

Name A More Iconic Trio

If there's one trio Sheldon wouldn't mind being compared to, it's Alvin, Theodore, and Simon. While Sheldon is the main character in The Big Bang Theory, he wouldn't be the main character (Alvin) in Alvin and the Chipmunks. Because of his brilliance, he'd be Theodore.

This meme by @SayCousin encapsulates Sheldon, Leonard, and Howard and the adventures the trios find themselves on.

Fans Learned Something New From Sheldon In Every Episode

As the brightest character, Sheldon assumed it was a blessing that his friends got the opportunity to spend time with him. His pompous personality made it hard for his friends to respect Sheldon but they couldn't deny how much they learned from him.

This meme is a hilarious reminder of all the big words Sheldon used and how confused characters like Penny were when they heard them used. However, she did learn a thing or two from him whether she wanted to admit it or not. And the same can be said for fans.
