A new promo for The Big Bang Theory teases the show's final 10 episodes. The long-running CBS sitcom is wrapping up after 12 years in a few months and the network is pulling all the stops to ensure that the much-loved nerdy gang gets the satisfying end they and their fans deserve.

Announced barely a month before the current season debuted in September 2018, The Big Bang Theory's cancellation came as a surprise - especially since it was revealed that CBS was already considering another season. However, the decision came after lead star Jim Parsons reportedly no longer wanted to return for another year, despite being offered massive pay. While this has yet to be confirmed, the actor explained in recent interviews that he felt it was time to walk away from the show given how long it's been on the air. And, with just a handful of episodes left before its finale, big things are ahead for the Pasadena crew as teased in a brand new clip.

Uploaded on The Big Bang Theory's official YouTube page, the 20-second clip previews what fans can expect from the sitcom's remaining outings, particularly next week's episode titled, "The Donation Oscillation." In the video, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) tries to seduce her husband, Leonard (Johnny Galecki). But with his impending sperm donations to help Zack (Brian Thomas Smith) and Marissa (Lindsey Kraft), Leonard deflects his wife's advances. Things become too much for him t0 handle that he decides to sneak up on Sheldon and Amy's (Mayim Bialik) apartment to sleep on their couch. Watch the spot below:

It's no secret that some fans of The Big Bang Theory aren't exactly thrilled with the way the show has handled Penny and Leonard over the last few years. Following their marriage, the two have fallen into a stagnant relationship as their friends continue to progress in their personal lives - Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) now have two kids; Sheldon and Amy got married; and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) is engaged to Anu (Rati Gupta). In an effort to combat that, the show introduced a conflict between the couple with regard to whether or not they want to have kids (Leonard wants to have them, Penny doesn't). However, this just made things a lot more complicated since it fundamentally changed Penny's stance on being a mother seeing as she's been open to the idea in past seasons.

Fortunately, it appears as though The Big Bang Theory will finally dedicate a full episode to their situation after dancing around the subplot. It's interesting to see Penny putting that much effort into getting her husband to bed, fully knowing that he's unwilling to on account of his impending sperm donation - especially since she gave him the blessing to do whatever he wants. It's as if she's subtly sabotaging Leonard's upcoming procedure; and if that's the case, her motives remain to be seen, but the episode sure feels like it's going to be a turning point for the Hofstadters.
