Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock sang “Happy Birthday” to Betty White, who turned 98 years young on Friday. Reynolds and Bullock both starred with White in 2009’s The Proposal where White played Reynolds’ grandmother. The trio has obviously grown close since making that film, as Reynolds has made a habit of taking to social media in celebration of his onscreen grandmother’s birthday — in 2017, for example, he posted a memorable picture of himself as Deadpool with a martini and a hot dog next to a framed portrait of White.

The Golden Girls star’s prolific career stretches all the way back to the mid 20th century, and she’s still performing alongside some of the biggest actors and actresses in Hollywood. Her most recent role was in last year’s Toy Story 4 ,where she voiced herself, and has since reprised that role on the Disney+ show, Forky Asks a Question. The longevity of her career and comedic talents have warranted the love and admiration of fans and thespians alike, and even Chris Evans wants to do a movie with Betty White.

In a video posted to Reynolds' Twitter and Instagram accounts, Reynolds and Bullock competitively sang “Happy Birthday” to White. The clip starts out sweet enough, cutting between the two actors, however, at the about the halfway mark, they attempt to best each-other; Bullock begins singing “from Sandy who loves you more than Ryan” and Reynolds sings, “from Ryan who loves you more than Sandy.” As Bullock continuing singing, Reynolds goes on to reinforce his argument, “what does Sandy do for you every year? Does she show up and hand-deliver flowers for you wearing nothing but black socks and a dozen gold bracelets just like you requested? Doubt it.” Watch the full video below.

The pair end the video affectionately, as Bullock says, “I love you” and Reynolds burst into tears. White’s 98 birthday is most certainly a milestone worth honoring throughout the entertainment industry. Reynolds and Bullock’s comedic yet heartfelt tribute aligns itself perfectly with what White has brought to entertainment. Betty White’s many roles have become iconic and cemented her credibility as a comedic actress who only gets funnier with age — at one point she even had a Rotten Tomatoes-certified review of Deadpool.

White’s everlasting charisma, energy, and work seem timeless. The Golden Girls, for example, has been off the air for years, but that hasn’t stopped new generations from discovering the show. From her old work to her new, and from her personality in interviews, countless hilarious Golden Girls and other Betty White memes have been made over the years as her quotes have become immortalized. Betty White is a true Hollywood legend, and her The Proposal co-stars and their birthday wishes are a fun reminder of how lucky everyone is to have her around.
