The foreshadowing of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman's Better Call Saul season 6 cameos is only getting stronger in "Hit & Run." Better Call Saul has featured Breaking Bad alumni of all shapes and sizes since first airing in 2015, but two absentees have never strayed far from the conversation - Walt and Jesse. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul never ruled out a potential comeback in Better Call Saul, and ahead of season 6's premiere, their involvement in the final run was made official. Now, it's only a matter of when, where, and how they'll show up.

Better Call Saul's prequel timeline has drawn considerably closer to Breaking Bad since season 6 premiered. Saul is finally practicing from his famous strip mall office, Nacho Varga's fate has been resolved, and Saul Goodman's reputation as "Lalo Salamanca's guy" has pushed him permanently off the path of a legit lawyer. Other Easter eggs have pointed more directly toward Walt & Jesse. The diner Kim meets clients at is called "El Camino" - a nod to Jesse's Breaking Bad sequel movie, and the blue flower that grows where Nacho died is the same striking shade of blue as Walter White's Blue Sky meth product.

Better Call Saul season 6's "Hit & Run" brings those two long-awaited cameos even closer by offering a 2-for-1 special on Breaking Bad character appearances. The first returnee is Wendy - the sex worker Jimmy and Kim hire as part of their plan to scam Howard Hamlin. Played by Julia Minesci, Wendy previously featured in Breaking Bad's first 3 seasons, usually as an associate/sexual partner of Jesse Pinkman's. The second Breaking Bad alum in "Hit & Run" is David Ury's Spooge, who turns up at Saul Goodman's nail salon seeking legal advice (and looking far healthier than he did during his last appearance).

Wendy and Spooge joining Better Call Saul represents a sure sign of how the prequel timeline now sits perilously close to Breaking Bad's era. If Wendy is frequenting the same motel she'll one day use for her paid dalliances with Jesse Pinkman, Better Call Saul season 6 can't be far from Jesse starting his career as a methamphetamine cook. Saul and Kim's friendship with Wendy might even facilitate Jesse's Better Call Saul cameo. Aaron Paul's character would be around 19/20 at this point, so it's entirely plausible he's selling meth and soliciting sex workers while Saul and Kim are pulling their Howard con. Amusingly, Jesse may hunt Howard down in revenge for mistreating his lady.

Although Spooge's meth addiction clearly hasn't taken hold as completely as it will in Breaking Bad, seeking out Lalo Salamanca's lawyer proves he's already involved in that illicit underworld - another example of Better Call Saul's proximity to Walt's rise. As seen in Breaking Bad season 2, Spooge bought drugs from Jesse's dealers, so seeking legal aid from a "criminal lawyer" may imply their seller-customer dynamic has already started in Better Call Saul's final season. Similar to Wendy, therefore, Spooge's presence in Better Call Saul provides a direct route for Jesse's spinoff debut to happen.

Even if Spooge and Wendy don't bring Jesse Pinkman and/or Walter White into Better Call Saul personally, their introductions add two more pieces of the Breaking Bad puzzle. Jimmy and Kim's circles are increasingly overlapping with Walt and Jesse's - it's only a matter of time before both shows collide for real.
