AMC unveils the official Better Call Saul season 6 trailer teasing an explosive final chapter for the acclaimed crime drama and its characters. Developed by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, the series primarily serves as a prequel spinoff of Breaking Bad and centers on Bob Odenkirk's Jimmy McGill in his early days as an earnest lawyer and con artist who will eventually transition into the criminal defense attorney Saul Goodman. Better Call Saul also explores his relationships with retired police officer Mike Erhmantraut, who becomes affiliated with the Juarez drug cartel, and fellow attorney and love interest Kim Wexler.

Alongside Odenkirk, the cast for Better Call Saul includes Rhea Seehorn, Jonathan Banks, Tony Dalton, Michael Mando, Giancarlo Esposito and Patrick Fabian. Premiering in 2015, the crime drama has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike for its performances, direction and character development and has garnered 39 Primetime Emmy and four Golden Globes nominations. Following five successful seasons, Better Call Saul is coming to a close with season 6 and after a two-year hiatus, audiences are getting their first look at the final chapter.

Anticipation has been building for the past two seasons of Better Call Saul for Jimmy to fully embrace his Saul Goodman persona since uttering "S'all good, man" in the season 4 finale of the show. Following Jimmy's tense first encounters with the Salamanca family and Gus Fring in season 5 set the table for his ties with the drug cartels as seen in Breaking Bad and his work with Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Given it serves as the final chapter for the spin-off series, the Better Call Saul season 6 trailer nicely shows the final steps of Jimmy embracing the dark side to fully become Saul Goodman.

One of the biggest points of curiosity for Better Call Saul season 6 as teased by the trailer is what's to come of Rhea Seehorn's Kim in the final chapter. Given her absence during Breaking Bad and lack of mentions by Saul in the prior series, many are nervously eager to see if their theories come true and she doesn't escape the prequel story alive or if she has a true falling out with Jimmy as he finally becomes Saul. Only time will tell when Better Call Saul season 6 premieres on AMC on April 18.
