Better Call Saul season 6, episode 12's title, "Waterworks," hints at Kim Wexler's return during the penultimate installment of the Breaking Bad spinoff. After five-and-a-half seasons, Better Call Saul finally answered the question, "Where is Kim during Breaking Bad?" Season 6, episode 9, "Fun and Games," sees Kim racked with guilt about her role in Howard's death, and during the episode's final moments, she decides to surrender her law license, leave Jimmy, and skip town, completing her husband's transformation into the sleazy Saul Goodman.

Rhea Seehorn's character was not seen during the next two Better Call Saul episodes, though things got very interesting in episode 11, "Breaking Bad," during the Gene Takavic timeline. During a phone call with Francesca, Gene learns that Kim called his former assistant to check on her after all the Heisenberg news went down and evidently asked how Jimmy was doing. This motivates Gene to call and check on Kim, who is now living in Florida and working at Palm Coast Sprinklers. Gene and Kim have a heated conversation over the phone that is purposefully muffled by traffic noise, forcing fans to formulate theories about what was said.

Now, the title for next week's episode of Better Call Saul has been revealed and it strongly hints at Kim's return. According to TV Passport and many other websites, season 6, episode 12's title is listed as "Waterworks." The episode's intentionally vague synopsis reads, "The stakes are raised when a discovery is made."

In all likelihood, the episode title, "Waterworks," refers to the sprinkler company Kim is working for and is a strong indication she will return during Better Call Saul's penultimate installment. Perhaps the episode will even backtrack a bit and explore exactly what Kim has been up to since she left Jimmy, all through the events of Breaking Bad, and eventually how she came into the employment of a sprinkler service in Florida. Once there, the episode will likely reveal what was said during Gene and Kim's contentious phone call.

Like many Better Call Saul episode titles, "Waterworks" of course carries a double meaning, as the episode will likely leave viewers feeling sad and possibly even shedding a tear. With just two episodes of Better Call Saul remaining, hopefully the show can provide proper closure for one of television's best power couples, Jimmy and Kim, but given the trajectory of season 6 and episode 12's title, it likely won't be a happy ending. Catch the final two episodes of Better Call Saul airing Mondays at 9 pm on AMC.
