Better Call Saul season 6 cameo discussion may revolve around Walter White, but another Breaking Bad alum deserves one final appearance way more. Across 5 seasons, Better Call Saul has dug deeper into backstories of characters we met back in Breaking Bad. The spinoff's starring duo of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) and Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) aside, Better Call Saul has extended prequel invitations to Giancarlo Esposito's Gus Fring, Dean Norris' Hank Schrader, Lavell Crawford's Huell Babineaux, and Steven Ogg's Sobchak among many others. Alas, we've yet to reunite with Breaking Bad's leading duo, Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).

That could all change in Better Call Saul season 6 - the final chapter of Jimmy's origin story. Although we can probably rule out an Aaron Paul cameo simply due to the actor being older than pre-Breaking Bad Jesse, a guest spot for Walter White remains firmly on the table. That could come either in Better Call Saul's prequel timeline, before Walt has earned his meth kingpin status, or during the Gene timeline, which could be taking place before Walt's death in the Breaking Bad finale. Understandably, Walt is the character Better Call Saul fans will be looking out for most in season 6... but there's another familiar face from Breaking Bad who perhaps deserves that closure more.

Bill Burr's Patrick Kuby made his debut in Breaking Bad season 4 as one of Saul Goodman's criminal contacts, and would frequently collaborate with fellow McGill enabler, Huell Babineaux. Kuby is there when Ted takes his rug tumble, he's there when Walt's gang pull of their ambitious train heist, and he's right next to Huell taking that meme-worthy nap on Walt's stacks of cash. Since Kuby is already among Jimmy's illicit associates when Breaking Bad begins, it'd make sense if we saw their first meeting in Better Call Saul. Bill Burr previously confirmed he was offered a reprisal in Better Call Saul season 5 (the part ultimately went to Steven Ogg's Sobchak), but was forced to turn the role down due to a close friend sadly dying.

If any fresh faces from Breaking Bad are to feature in Better Call Saul season 6, Bill Burr's Kuby should surely be front of the queue. We've already seen how Jimmy McGill first encountered Mike, Gus, Tuco Salamanca, Huell, and even long-suffering secretary, Francesca. Out of all the main accomplices Saul Goodman calls upon in Breaking Bad, Kuby is the last big omission still outstanding, and to witness the first meeting between them would represent a final piece in the puzzle of Jimmy's network - the "Avengers assemble" of the Gilligan Netflix Universe.

From Better Call Saul season 5's abandoned Kuby plans, we can assume Bill Burr's character is already a working criminal at this point; it's just a matter of Jimmy or Mike finding a use for his services. Maybe Jimmy and Kim hire Kuby as part of their scheme to ruin Howard Hamlin. Role play was something of a specialty for the character in Breaking Bad, scamming Bogdan out of his car wash, then posing as a broken down truck driver during the train heist. Those acting skills could come in handy for bringing down a lawyer. However he comes back, Bill Burr's star has risen considerably since Breaking Bad - even finding himself a gig in the Star Wars universe. One final go around for Kuby would serve as a poignant return to where Burr's acting career took off, not to mention give more screen time to one of Breaking Bad's most charismatic supporting figures.

A Walter White cameo in Better Call Saul season 6 would obviously grab the biggest headlines. Though there are ways that could happen without hurting Heisenberg's existing arc in Breaking Bad (see El Camino), Walt's character journey is undeniably complete, and any role in Better Call Saul's final season would be solely for Jimmy's benefit (or, more likely, the audience's). Kuby's story, on the other hand, feels a few chapters light, and there's an appetite among viewers to see how that relationship with Saul Goodman first began.
