Southern Charm: Savannah (2017-)

If fans haven't already tuned in, Southern Charm: Savannah is the most ideal continuation of the hit reality show every fan needs to check out. Moving from Charleston, South Carolina to Savannah, Georgia, the show follows six affluent heirs and chic socialites who grew up as best friends and abide by the southern hospitality that makes the original so enjoyable.
But what really separates the Southern Charm brand is how deep into the specific cultural and historical ties the cast members and their families inherently have to the American South. For instance, W. Nelson Lewis claimed his family was akin to "The Kennedys of Savannah" due to their connection and political affiliations. Likewise, Daniel Eichholz hails from the family of Savannah's earliest Jewish settlers, giving each character a germane backstory tied to the region.
Southern Charm: New Orleans (2018-)

Once fans tour the entirety of Savannah, it's time to head west to witness Southern Charm: New Orleans. Aside from hewing to the tried and true formula of following compelling luminaries with profound ties to the area, the second spinoff show is teeming with the cultural vibrancy of New Orleans' jazz music scene, Creole cuisine, and the boozy bacchanal of Bourbon Street.
But aside from the glitz and glamour of the rich heirs and elegant socialities, it's the non-touristy nooks and crannies of New Orleans that cast members like Reagan Charleston educate the audience about that really separates the show. Whether it's places like The Columns Hotel in Uptown, Bouligny Tavern, or Beyoncé's favorite NOLA hotspot Paladar 511 in the Marigny, New Orleans is even bigger and brighter than Charleston.
RelationShep (2017)

Earning his own spinoff series, Southern Charm's standout socialite Shep Rose stars in RelationShep, a strange must-see reality show spinoff for fans of the original. While Southern Charm has always featured an element of romance and dating, this series focuses specifically on Shep's quest for love and the highs and lows of the courtship process.
As Shep's closest friends and family members play matchmaker and set him up with expensive, jet-setting dates around the country, fans get extra insight into what makes the opulent bachelor tick. A short, entertaining, and binge-worthy six-episode affair, fans are definitely going to want to catch up on RelationShep, especially considering how Shep's past has come to bite in him the most recent episode of Southern Charm.
Summer House (2017-)

Although it's set in the upper crust of the East Hamptons rather than the sweltering south, Bravo's beloved reality TV show Summer House is the closest thing to Southern Charm on television in 2022. In fact, star Shep Rose has appeared on the show twice in 2020. The show concerns nine lifelong friends who live together in a sprawling mansion in Montauk from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
A show built on the vicarious envy of its viewers as they watch the beautiful ultra-wealthy elite hobnob at exclusive parties and use their connections to advance their careers, Summer House may not feature the deep historical and geographical roots of the characters in Southern Charm. But as far as the formulaic escapism is concerned, the two shows are simpatico.
Winter House (2021-)

Summer House proved to be such an ideal match with Southern Charm that Bravo decided to cross the two reality TV series together to create Winter House. Set in snowy Stowe, Vermont, during the winter, the show places cast members from both beloved Bravo series into one lavish manse to see how well they manage each other's personalities while living under one roof.
Specifically, Southern Charm's Paige DeSorbo, Craig Conover, and Natalie Hegnauer travel up north to live with Summer House's Austin Kroll, Amanda Batula, Kyle Cook, and others in a hilariously awkward household dynamic that resulted in Luke Gulbranson's dismissal from the show, following production on season 2 (per People).
Selling Tampa (2021-)

While The Real Housewives of Atlanta is a worthy option, Netflix's Selling Tampa fuses upscale luxury with the culture of the American South in ways ideally suited for Southern Charm fans. The Selling Sunset spinoff concerns the real estate agents of Allure Realty, an all-Black owned and operated real estate agency based in Tampa, Florida.
Beyond the exclusive high-end beachfront property and ultra-wealthy clientele the ladies of Allure Realty work with, it's the swanky margarita-sipping lifestyle that popular Selling Tampa Instagram influencers Sharelle, Juwana, Tenille, London, and the others indulge in that makes the reality TV show so compelling. If only Netflix and Bravo could strike a deal, it'd be no surprise to see a Selling Tampa and Southern Charm crossover in the future.
Chrisley Knows Best (2014-)

Essentially the mayor of the south, Todd Chrisley is a self-made millionaire from Atlanta who, along with his wife Julie and their five children, lives an absolutely charmed life in the USA reality show Chrisley Knows Best. For Southern Charm fans who enjoy watching ultra-rich families and how they manage their daily existence and balance the personal with the professional, they do not have to look any further.
Set in Roswell and Alpharetta, Georgia, in the first three seasons and Nashville, Tennessee in the fourth, Chrisley Knows Best is on par with Southern Charm for the way the show explores the specific southern region and how the culture plays a vital role in the life-altering decisions Todd and his children make.
Vanderpump Rules: Jax And Brittany Take Kentucky (2017)

More of a hilarious novelty than anything else, Southern Charm fans are sure to get a kick out of Vanderpump Rules: Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky. The Vanderpump Rules spinoff traces bartender Jax Taylor and his wife Brittany Cartwright as they return to her farmhouse in Kentucky to spend a vacation together.
Beyond the amusing fish-out-of-water southern setting that makes Jax feel homesick for his glitzy Los Angeles home, watching the chic bartender do farm work, attend Church, abstain from alcohol, and fight with Brittany's family is too juicy and melodramatic to miss. While Southern Charm is all about financial privilege, this one adds a dose of humility to the dynamic.
Big Rich Texas (2011)

While its 2013 sequel Big Rich Atlanta is also deserving, Big Rich Texas is another entertaining reality TV show about the ultra-wealthy living in the American South. Specifically, the show tracks Dallas' most affluent mother-daughter duos and how they navigate local celebrities as the city's most prominent socialites.
Set at a posh country club to begin the series, both Big Rich Texas and Southern Charm peek behind the curtain to give the audience a fascinating glimpse at the exclusive nature of southern pageant culture, weddings, crab boils, and of course, a raft of scandalous debauchery.
Party Down South (2014-)

Somewhat supplanted by MTV's Floribama Shore in recent years, the oft-forgotten reality TV show Party Down South is another ideal destination for Southern Charm fans. Created by Jersey Shore producers, the CMT original series follows eight young southerners living under the same roof during the summer.
With various locations including South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, and Florida, Party Down South is essentially the low-rent version of Southern Charm. Aside from the lifestyles and differences in the financial status of the cast members, both shows are nearly identical in the way they depict young southerners blowing off steam in the summer while doing their best to balance a healthy personal and professional existence. It may not be as elegant or sophisticated, but it's authentic as can be, which is all can ask for in a reality show.
