While supernatural television shows and movies have been a guilty pleasure genre for many for a long time, nothing is as memorable as the romantic couples they created. Movies about vampires, werewolves, and magic have often had a love story that helped hook in audiences.

The same goes for television shows. It adds a more riveting story as the two characters learn to love each other despite their supernatural abilities and circumstances. Take Sabrina Spellman from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrinawho risked traveling to hell to save Nick Scratch. Supernatural couples come in a variety of forms including the Devil himself, vampires, and even zombies.

This movie will surely be a blast from the past for teens who grew up in the late 2000s. It was when actor Alex Pettyfer was considered a major heartthrob. In 2011, he starred as the main character alongside Vanessa Hudgens in Beastly. The movie is tagged as being fantasy but has supernatural elements. What made the movie shine was the romance.

Kyle (Pettyfer) is a stuck up rich kid whose popular and takes his life for granted. One day he angers the wrong person who happens to be a witch and puts a curse on him as this is a take on the iconic tale of Beauty & The Beast. He soon falls for an old crush and she learns to love him for who he is and accept him for his new psychical appearance.

There might be a divide on whether or not zombies are categorized in the genre of the supernatural. They are dead bodies that reanimate after all, which defies the laws of nature. In the 2013 film Warm Bodies, zombies had a unique spin on them and the movie centered around the thoughts of a zombie named R (Nicholas Hoult).

He meets a human survivor named Julie (Teresa Palmer) after he rescues her from other zombies. Julie realizes that he isn't the typical flesh-eating zombie. They start to develop a bond and even feelings for each other. All the while, R starts to turn a little bit more human and by the end, they fall in love. It's not every day that a human gets attracted to a zombie.

Sookie And Bill (True Blood)

While Twilight reigned supreme amongst teens, True Blood was popular amongst a more mature audience. Beyond the blood-sucking vampires and drama, fans came to really enjoy the relationship between Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Bill (Stephen Moyer). Some even shipped Sookie and Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) even more.

In the first season, Sookie has an undeniable attraction and pull to Bill. Bill does everything he can to try and stop their growing affection in order to keep her safe. In the end, they give in and start a complex journey into love and vampire drama. By the end of the show, it's clear that these two characters had a deep love for each other that's hard to find.

Selene And Michael (Underworld)

Along with popular television shows came popular movie franchises. One of them was 2003's Underworld and the following sequels. The love story in the first installment becomes a premise for the following movies. Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is a Death Dealer who seeks revenge against the Lycans for killing her family.

But she discovers they're after a human named (Scott Speedman). She sets out to find him but becomes attracted and so does he. Their romance has one steamy night but ultimately bonds them. Selene ends up defying her coven and who she was raised by to be to save Michael who becomes a hybrid. Their intense love is still evident in the following movies despite Michael no longer playing a major role.

Teen Wolf is inarguably one of the few teen supernatural shows that worked incredibly well amongst its viewers. It was loosely based on the 1985 movie of the same name but had more drama and supernatural charisma. Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) is a seemingly ordinary teenager when one day he's bitten an alpha.

His life turns upside down and he's sucked into the world of the supernatural and soon comes to meet Allison Argent (Crystal Reed) in the first season. Their relationship was beloved by many, especially after it's revealed that she and her family are werewolf hunters. It added incredible tension that blossomed into love. Fans were heartbroken for Scott by the third season.

Bella And Edward (Twilight)

The years of Twilight is a fond and interesting memory for some that involved a lot of trips to Hot Topic. The movie franchise and books created a rift between fans on whether they were Team Edward or Team Jacob. Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stweart) were the main characters and love story.

Their romance had many fans' hearts racing. A mere mortal falls in love with a vampire. Bella was on board from the start and couldn't deny the pull to the cold and sparkly vampire. They had a lot of up and downs and fights about Bella becoming immortal. By the end, they become the perfect vampire couple with extraordinary abilities and a child that defies most laws of vampire nature.

While Bella and Edward were a hit couple, first came Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Angel (David Boreanaz) from the hit 1997 show. Buffy is destined to become one of the greatest vampire slayers but her journey gets complex when she falls in love with the very supernatural creature she's meant to destroy.

Angel and Buffy's love story is far from perfect. They go through many break-ups and challenges of who they are and meant to be. Still, fans of the show rallied behind them. Others saw a better chance between Buffy and Spike (James Marsters). Regardless, fans can't help but admire Buffy and Angel's love story full of tears, heartache, and happy memories.

Leo And Piper (Charmed)

Along with Buffy was another hit supernatural fantasy show, Charmed. As fans followed the journey of the Halliwell sisters destined to be the Charmed Ones, they also followed the many romances that occurred. The one that stood out the most was between Leo and Piper.

Piper (Holly Marie Combs) is the middle sister while Leo (Brian Krause) is the family's Whitelighter meant to keep them safe. He and Piper soon fall in love but their relationship was very troubled as it's the definition of a forbidden romance. The elders gave them a hard time seeing as a relationship between their kind is forbidden. Fans loved the couple and they eventually marry and start their own family.

Chloe And Lucifer (Lucifer)

There can be a long debate on whether or not Lucifer is strictly considered fantasy or can also be tagged as supernatural. Regardless, one aspect that made the show binge-worthy was the budding relationship between Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German).

It's not every day that the Devil himself and the ruler of Hell becomes your partner in solving crime. Lucifer and Chloe's relationship is complex, to say the least. Chloe is completely immune to his charm and suave behavior, which intrigues Lucifer. Their story gets complicated when it's proven that Chloe isn't just there by coincidence. Both characters struggle with figuring out where they stand and whether a relationship is worth it.

Elena And Damon (The Vampire Diaries)

Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) relationship hits the top mostly because of how complex and frustrating it was to watch on television. But it was worth it. Elena first starts by falling in love with Stefan Salvatore. But with Damon's arrival and growing involvement, she can't deny her attraction to him.

Many fans debate on whether Elena was better off with Damon or Stefan. Their relationship had fans on edge on whether they would finally commit. It was far from easy as Elena had to come to terms with loving him as well as deal with supernatural problems along the way.
