My Isekai Life: I Gained A Second Character Class...
My Isekai Life details the life of Yuuji Sano, an incredibly overworked employee who gets transported to another world while working late one night. Now free of his ridiculous workload, Yuuji uses his newly acquired magical powers in an attempt to live the life of an adventurer.
While Isekai as a genre guarantees at least one entry per season, My Isekai Life's laid-back storytelling attitude, fun imaginative characters, and promising art style make it a stand-out, must-watch series. Its Slime-centered story is also reminiscent of the highly popular Reincarnated As A Slime, which is an easy topic for new and veteran anime watchers to get into.
Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru
When Will Ayumu Make His Move? recounts the story of Stoic high school freshman Ayumu Tanaka who makes the random decision to quit the Kendo club he was a part of. Making the equally random decision to join the sole member of the Shoji club Urushi Yaotome, Ayumu makes a high school debut almost no one can comprehend.
Yaotome's sincere efforts to make Ayumu notice her and his subsequent total obliviousness to her efforts is the perfect recipe for light-hearted comedy. Romance and school-life anime like When Will Ayumu Notice Me are often overlooked despite their consistently high performances. This slice-of-life anime promises to be a charming addition to the season and the genre.
Classroom Of The Elite Season 2
Koudo Ikusei Senior High School is a school where merely qualifying is a bragging right, and graduation is the greatest of all accomplishments. Given the freedom to do and buy anything they want, the school seems to be a paradise for students, though these rose-colored glasses are quickly shattered.
With season one of Classroom Of The Elite ending with completing the first year of this cutthroat competition-based school, Kiyotaka Ayanokouji's mind-game abilities and exceptional talents promise even more clever twists in Season 2. With a new year, new challenges, and a cast full of quirky and multi-layered characters, season 2 promises to be a rollercoaster of emotions.
Yofukashi No Uta
Call of the Night is a Supernatural Romance anime filled with Tsunderes and Dark Denizens of the Night. After his grandfather seemingly died, Bell traveled to the city of Orario to embark on his own heroic adventure. However, Bell soon learns that where there are heroes, there are also villains.
With Danmachi, or Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon, season 3 ending with Bell facing the hatred of most adventurers in Orario, the aftermath and his response have been a hot topic. Along with the events in Danmachi: Sword Oratoria potentially blending with the main storyline, how Danmachi 4 handles to the blending of stories and moves forward has had fans on the edges of their seats in anticipation.
Made In Abyss: The Golden City Of The Scorching Sun
Hiding its often horrifying monsters and dangers behind its adorable art style, and even more adorable character designs, Made in Abyss has proven to be a shocking anime for anyone who experiences it without prior knowledge. Following main characters Riko and Reg, Made in Abyss shows their exploration of a large pit known as the "Abyss."
Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul, with the psychological horror expected from Made In Abyss, is not the easiest anime to watch, however, its beautiful art style and thrilling adventure have drawn in scores of fans regardless. Riko and Reg's adventure ever downward into the Abyss with companions old and new has proven Made In Abyss to be a landmark adventure anime.
Overlord Season IV
After becoming stuck in the online game Yggdrasil, Momonga decides to methodically take over the world, enslaving all of the world's citizens and ruling as its Overlord. Or at least, that's what his significantly more competent subordinates think he's planning, and in trying to appease their lord, take action to carry out his will. However, as nothing more than an ordinary businessman on the inside, Momonga just goes with the flow lest his subordinates turn on him.
With Overlord Season 3 ending with Momonga personally taking his first concrete action to conquer the world by utterly decimating an army tens of thousands strong, Overlord IV promises both spectacle and carnage with Ainz's fury. Overlord is the perfect anime for Adventure RPG fans of series like Dungeons and Dragons, for its well-choreographed fights and well-developed magic system.
Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 2
Rent-A-Girlfriend follows Kazuya Kinoshita and Chizuru Mizuhara's bizarre yet entertaining love life. After Kazuya was abruptly dumped by his girlfriend Mami, he hires rental girlfriend Chizuru and mistakenly introduces her to his family as his actual girlfriend. With both Chizuru and Kazuya's grandmothers being friends, they are forced to continue acting like they're the cutest couple while trying not to be found out.
Rent-A-Girlfriend 2, along with its continuation of Kazuya and Chizuru's story, will continue to flesh out the stories of its diverse cast and cute and quirky girls. And with each girl having a unique personality, Rent-A-Girlfriend 2 will showcase these girls with top-tier fashion and a myriad of comedy that anime fans can't help but enjoy.
The Devil Is A Part Timer! Season 2
The Devil is A Part Timer follows Satan, now Sadao Maou, who fled from his homeworld Ente Isla after he was defeated by the hero and was forced to retreat before he was killed. Finding himself in Japan with his trusted general Ashiya, Maou takes a job at McRonald's to secure funds for the two and hopefully save enough money to once again bring terror to Ente Isla.
The Devil Is A Part-Timer became a smash hit for its excellent character writing as well as its excellent cast of voice actors. With the entirety of the cast returning as well as upcoming excellent story arcs, fans of Devil Is A Part-Timer who have waited 8 years for a season 2 will finally have their wishes fulfilled in the most highly anticipated anime of the Summer 2022 season.
