Netflix has several incredible rom-coms–like Always Be My Maybe and Set It Up–that were well-received by both critics and audiences, but they don't always produce the best movies, especially in the romantic comedy genre.

While there are countless rom-coms that are being added and taken off of Netflix's streaming service, their original rom-coms will always stay on the platform for viewers to watch and rewatch. There are Netflix rom-coms that have terrible reviews and some have 0% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes making them so bad they're good. Here are some of the best to watch for viewers looking for that kind of movie experience.

Naked (2017)

The Netflix original movie Naked takes the familiar premise popularized by Groundhog Day where a character relives the same day over and over again in a loop they can't break out of. The movie follows a man who is about to get married to the woman of his dreams but continually finds himself naked in an elevator every day he wakes up.

Although no time-loop comedy has been able to beat the originals it's still a fun and cheesy trope that people enjoy, and this Netflix movie has so many bad reviews, earning a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, that it's a must-watch for so-bad-it's-good fans.

Holidate (2020)

The reviews for Holidate were overwhelmingly negative with a 44% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It's a cheesy and predictable rom-com that has a fun premise, but other than that it's not a great movie overall, yet it's still a fun watch that any rom-com fan would enjoy.

Desperados (2020)

Netflix's Desperados scored a dismal 15% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and yet it's still a fun movie to watch despite it not being an objectively good movie in the rom-com genre. Any fan of New Girl will appreciate seeing Lamorne Morris and Nasim Pedrad team up again to star in a rom-com.

The movie follows a woman (Pedrad) who gets upset when her boyfriend doesn't answer her messages so she sends him a lengthy and rude email breaking up with him. She panics when it turns out he had been in a car accident so she and her friends travel to Mexico to try to delete the message before he sees it.

The Wrong Missy (2020)

The Wrong Missy follows a man (David Spade) who meets a woman called Missy and decides to invite her to vacation with him at a resort. He accidentally texts the wrong person and invites another woman called Missy instead, turning his vacation into a disaster.

There are hilarious moments and moments where the audience cringed in The Wrong Missy but overall the reviews were negative with a 33% on Rotten Tomatoes. Spade isn't at his best in this movie which probably adds to the low ratings, but it's worth it to see Lauren Lapkus go over-the-top as the oblivious Missy.

The Kissing Booth (2018)

The Kissing Booth is a divisive Netflix movie that viewers either love or hate, although it was popular enough to warrant a sequel even though it the first movie only has a 15% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie follows a high schooler who has liked her best friend's older brother since they were young. She's finally given an opportunity to do something about her crush when the school's kissing booth matches them up. She has to reckon with her new romantic feelings and the feelings of her best friend.

When We First Met (2018)

When We First Met is another movie that uses the time-loop plot but not as well thought out as audiences have seen before. The movie has a 43% on Rotten Tomatoes and isn't terrible, but it's just nowhere near as good as classics like Groundhog Day or the more modern Palm Springs.

The movie follows a man who has been in love with his best friend since the day they met but he never shared his romantic feelings with her, and now she's about to get married. He finds that he's time-traveled back to the night when they first met and has a chance to change his future.

Love, Guaranteed (2020)

Love, Guaranteed is another Netflix original rom-com that tries its best with an intriguing premise but still falls into the same cheesy rom-com pitfalls that don't provide great reviews although it's one of the highest-rated on this list at 56% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Falling Inn Love (2019)

Falling Inn Love is a fantastically cheesy rom-com that starts off strong with a pun in its title. There's a hilariously over-the-top plot and it feels like a typical Lifetime or Hallmark rom-com that tend to be so bad they're good.

Although it has the highest Rotten Tomatoes rating of any movie on this list, it's still a pretty low score at 65% and an even lower score of 5.6 on IMDb. The movie starts with an overworked executive winning ownership of an Inn located in New Zealand. She decides to take time off work to fix up the Inn in New Zealand and of course meets an attractive local her first day there.

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is a Netflix movie based on the real-life Eurovision singing competition. The movie sees Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams play an Icelandic singing duo hoping to make it into the competition.

The movie has a decent Rotten Tomatoes score of 63% but still falls into the category of so bad it's good because of the over-the-top and incredibly fun musical performances throughout.
