It's expected to be a stellar holiday season for the tech industry with the Sony PlayStation 5 becoming available. For customers looking to score a new console, they may also be considering a new TV in order to set up a state-of-the-art entertainment center in their living room. Thankfully, gamers with money to spare this season can look to several TV manufacturers for a new model to pair with a PS5.

A smart TV is capable of bringing out the best in visuals from a new-gen console like a PS5. Smart TVs also come with native app support, so if there's a certain TV app not available on the PS5, there's a chance the app will be available to download on the TV. As a nice extra, smart TVs can also interact with smartphones and smart speakers to make home living simpler. Best of all, newer smart TVs tend to be much cheaper than standard HDTVs were when they were first on the market.

A great smart TV option to pair with a PS5, unsurprisingly, comes from Sony. The Sony Bravia X900H was launched as a "ready for PS5" TV, making it a solid and reliable option. As part of the Bravia package, gamers can expect true 4K visuals at an impressive 120 fps. This is a unique and beneficial perk to have, as many smart TVs are only expected to run video output at 60 fps. Other features include compatibility between the PS5 and the TV, such as being able to control the console with the TV remote. This TV is priced at a modest $999 for the smallest 55-inch version, but can rise to as high as $2,599.99 for the 85-inch model.

Other Smart TV Options For PS5

LG smart TV

If the price is not a major concern, then another great option to consider is the LG CX series. The 48-inch version is priced at almost $1,500, with the larger 77-inch model going for around $3,500. There are also 55 and 65-inch versions available as well. Like Sony Bravia TVs, these LG models can also run gameplay at 120 fps, but can also render light and color beautifully so that gameplay looks either vibrant or dreary when it needs to be, thanks to the OLED display. This TV also comes with a total of four HDMI ports, so there are plenty available for connecting other consoles and devices.

For gamers looking for a more affordable TV, it is worth considering the Samsung Q60T series. There are a total of seven screen sizes to pick from, ranging between 43 and 85 inches. The base 43-inch model typically costs between $400 and $500 while the 55-inch version is priced at less than $700, making it  much cheaper than the same-sized base Sony Bravia TV. For those in need of a larger TV, the Q6oT series does rise in price to as high as $2,000 for the largest 85-inch model. Gamers shouldn't expect a complete, 120-fps experience with this TV line, but they will still get a quality TV experience, that work well with the PlayStation 5, and at a lower cost.
