With the recent conclusion of Moon Knight and the upcoming premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi on May 27th, it's clear that Disney+ is a great place to find fantastic miniseries. Their Star Wars and MCU shows have been a huge hit but that's certainly not all you can find on the streaming service if you're looking for a short binge.

Disney+ is home to some great shows that can be finished in a week or less thanks to either being designed as a miniseries or because they were canceled too soon. Regardless, you can find some addictive stories to go through in a short time.

Agent Carter (2015-2018)

Considering she was a supporting player in Captain America: The First Avenger, a film that mostly took place in the '40s, most people didn't expect to see much more of Peggy Carter. Surprisingly though, the character's popularity led to a One-Shot a few years later.

That success led to a TV series based on her time as a founding member of S.H.I.E.L.D., which lasted two seasons. The show was action-packed and featured fun characters. There were also intriguing connections to the greater MCU like an early look at the Black Widow program so any fan should give it a shot.

Dinosaurs (1991-1994)

The family in Dinosaurs

While it's true that Dinosaurs did last four seasons and features more than 60 episodes, it still makes for a relatively quick binge because of how short the segments are. This classic series took the old tried and true sitcom formula and turned it on its head.

While it centered on a family and their daily lives, that family was a group of dinosaurs during the prehistoric era. With wacky situations, a fun voice cast, and a chilling finale involving the extinction of the species, you'll get a full enjoyable story from start to finish with Dinosaurs.

Star Wars: Visions (2021)

Considering Star Wars is meant to consist of an entire galaxy, there are almost countless stories that can be told which have nothing to do with the characters made famous by the films or existing TV series. That's where Star Wars: Visions excels.

The show delivers nine unique stories that have nothing to do with each other, telling interesting tales about new characters that expand the lore. It helps that the episodes are done by different anime studios, so each feels like something never seen before in any other Star Wars property.

Gravity Falls (2012-2016)

It's rare that an animated series aimed at kids becomes something of a crossover hit that everyone can appreciate. Gravity Falls managed to pull that off, being successful with children, teenagers, and even adults for a handful of reasons.

The show follows siblings who spend their summer investigating paranormal events and supernatural activities while visiting their great-uncle. The mystery series consists of 40 episodes and with each being rather short, it makes for an engaging tale to watch in just a few days.

Runaways (2017-2019)

The current slate of Disney+ shows in the MCU like WandaVision and Loki have had an actual impact on the franchise and connect to the big-budget films. That being said, there are a handful of shows that are also technically part of the MCU, even if they mean less overall.

The aforementioned Agent Carter is one of them, as is Runaways. The latter is a show focusing on a group of teens with special abilities who discover their parents are villains. The three-season show can hook viewers almost instantly and it even crosses over with another quality show, Cloak & Dagger, in season 3.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (2019-Present)

One of the first shows to launch with Disney+ was High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The show is based on the musical that is based on the popular Disney Channel films from the 2000s and features music that is just as iconic.

This series is a great watch due to the likable characters and catchy tunes but it also is a hit for other reasons. It is one of the few Disney shows with strong LGBTQ+ representation and features breakout star Olivia Rodrigo as one of the most prominent actors.

Jessica Jones (2015-2019)

Another show that is technically set in the MCU but doesn't connect all that much is Jessica Jones. As part of the Netflix franchise of Marvel shows like Daredevil and Luke Cage, this series was allowed to have more adult themes than a lot of the other MCU projects.

Jessica Jones often dealt with things like sexual assault and PTSD. Krysten Ritter delivers a fantastic lead performance as the titular character while season 1's Killgrave is in the conversation for the most intimidating villain in TV history. There's a reason that so many fans would love to see Jones back in the MCU.

Gargoyles (1994-1997)

It takes a special show to have aired during the '90s and yet still be wildly popular during the 2020s. Gargoyles fits that mold as the animated series focusing on the titular characters who come to life and protect New York City is indeed still beloved.

In fact, Gargoyles is so popular that there are still conventions held to celebrate and appreciate the series. You can watch through the three seasons in a short time period and if you end up wanting to experience more, you can check out the comics that were released during the 2000s.

Ducktales (2017-2021)

Obviously, the original Ducktales is a legendary show that people have appreciated for decades. That series aired from 1987 until 1990 and in 2017, a reboot arrived that is now available to stream on Disney+.

This take on the show lives up to the original for several reasons with the most notable being the cast. David Tennant, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Kate Micucci, and more voice these iconic characters and are arguably even better than the original. You can relive your childhood in updated fashion across 69 delightful episodes.

The Mandalorian (2019-Present)

One of the biggest selling points of the launch of Disney+ was the debut of The Mandalorian. Set in the Star Wars universe, the show was expected to be a hit but it's hard to believe that anyone believed it would be just as massive as it is today.

Originally, it didn't feature any established characters but Grogu (Baby Yoda) became an instant hit. Season 1 was met with widespread acclaim and nominated for several Emmys. Season 2 upped the ante by bringing in the likes of Ahsoka Tano and Bo-Katan Kryze while introducing new characters and connecting to other franchise films and shows.
