After two decades of glamour, charisma, and some high-stakes drama, Keeping Up With The Kardashians ended in 2021. The show has been quite historic in reality television, as it has set a benchmark for what reality TV can aspire to be in terms of content and unscripted entertainment. While the Kardashian-Jenner clan lives on in The Kardashians, KUWTK was iconic in its own right. There are some harsh realities of rewatching KUWTK, but it's still worth it.

No one could have guessed just how popular the Kardashian-Jenner family would become after showcasing their family’s highs and lows on the E! Network back in 2007. With 20 seasons and over 280 episodes, it’s hard to pinpoint the best seasons of KUWTK. Since airing, many secrets have been revealed about KUWTK, which makes a rewatch even more fun. However, if viewers dissected the series, they’d realize that the later seasons were some of the best seasons of KUWTK.

12 Season 2

The second season was perhaps the tamest because no significant changes happened for the family. But this season was crucial in establishing Kim’s booming popularity as it explores her brand. There are some funny KUWTK scenes that fans love to rewatch, like when the Kardashians gang up on Kim for being a diva and not prioritizing her family. The second season did have some pretty intelligent pitches for each episode, like when the sisters take self-defense classes after DASH is vandalized or when Caitlyn took some time to address her midlife crisis.

11 Season 6

Season 6 had a lot going on and a couple of medical hiccups, but nothing major. A lot of focus was on Caitlyn and Kris parenting their teen daughters, Kendall and Kylie, as they discovered that a 15-year-old Kendall was taking birth control. This is also when Kendall starts taking modeling more seriously. Kylie and Kendall also lashed out at Kris for not giving them enough space, and the Jenner siblings chose Scott to be their manager over their parents. There was also some subtle sibling drama, as Khloé revealed she doesn’t like Kim’s then-fiance, Kris Humphries, and Rob admitted he does not hang out with Kourtney because of Scott.

10 Season 13

Kim and Khloe smiling as Khloe points a finger

Season 13 was one of the most anxious ones, as it simultaneously explored quite a few jarring issues. Kim, still reeling from the Paris robbery, struggled to help Kanye with his downward spiral, especially as he was in another city. This storyline explored the humanizing aspects of showbiz, as fans worldwide also sympathized with Kanye once the season aired, which, in retrospect, was ill-informed.

It was impossible not to be Team Kim in this season of KUWTK because of what she went through. Meanwhile, Khloé was accused by her BFF, Malika, of being catty towards her boyfriend. On the other hand, Kendall tried hard to be taken seriously as a supermodel and got nervous as Vogue reviewed her and Kylie’s fashion line.

9 Season 14

Kim in a black jumpsuit and Kris in a festive mask surrounded by festive decorations

From season 14 onwards, even the very low-stakes drama on KUWTK was propelled and marketed as a significant storyline, and though they may not have worked on paper as a premise, viewers realized they just couldn’t stop watching. A perfect example of this was the Christmas Wars. When Kim, Kris, and Kourtney go shopping for Christmas decorations, some drama ensues, as Kim calls out Kourtney for copying her lights.

Then, the baking challenge between Khloé and Kris was scripted to look like a dramatic contest. The show started figuring out around this point that viewers will watch anything the family does.

8 Season 8

Khloe on the phone in season 8 of KUWTK

Although there are 20 seasons, fans shouldn’t sleep on season 8. While some would say the season focused too much on the Jenners, seeing all avenues of the big family was thrilling. Caitlin had tough conversations with her sons, Brody and Brandon Jenner, this season, making for a few dramatic episodes. Her relationship with Kris was also shown in part, proving that the two did grow apart and were having a hard time keeping the families united.

During this time, Kim was also dealing with her divorce from Kris Humphries—while being pregnant with Kanye's baby—while Khloé was going through secret torment with her then-husband Lamar Odom.

7 Season 12

Blac Chyna with Rob Kardashian sitting for a talking head on KUWTK

This was one of the stormiest seasons of the show, as the family was shocked when they discovered that Rob Kardashian was dating Tyga’s ex, Blac Chyna. Khloé and Caitlyn also start working on their relationship, while Scott, on the other hand, questions his place in the family after his break-up with Kourtney. It was an unpopular KUWTK opinion not to love the drama season 12 brought.

In the later part of the season, tensions flare as Chyna and Rob get engaged, and she launches an app that the Kardashians dislike. Also, the season explored the sisters’ struggle with anxiety, as Kylie found it challenging to be in the public eye. Kim tries to rein in her anxiety, and Kourtney is also worked up about her press tour. Khloé is also seen making some pretty serious decisions about her relationship with her ex-husband, Lamar Odom.

6 Season 9

Khloe kisses Kendall's head in season 9 of KUWTK

Season 9 was full of controversies and dealing with difficult situations. Not only did Kris and Caitlyn announce their divorce, but Khloé and Lamar were also separating. She had to deal with bad press over Lamar’s poor judgment while trying to clear her name from wrongdoing.

However, there were some positive notes to the season. Kim and Kanye were planning their dream wedding in Italy, with multiple trips to Paris for fittings and meetings. It was hard for fans not to be excited about the bubbly pair. Even more interesting, Kourtney told Scott they were expecting baby number three. With so many highs and lows, season 9 was entertaining.

5 Season 16

Khloe Kardashian And Tristan Thompson on KUWTK

Season 16 was quite tense for the family. Kanye and Kim’s relationship was scrutinized, as the family accused her of devoting too much time to him during her trip to Chicago. Kim also started contemplating moving to Chicago for good. This was also the season when Kim announced she wanted to follow in her father's footsteps and become a lawyer. There was quite a lot of tension away from Kim as Kylie and Kris butted heads over the latter’s role in Kylie Cosmetics.

Meanwhile, Khloé and a few family members expressed how they didn’t wholly trust Kris’ boyfriend, Corey, and didn’t know much about him. The season ends on a somewhat tragic note, as Khloé learns that Tristan Thompson cheated on her with Kylie’s BFF, Jordyn Woods. Dramatic storylines like these made the original better than Hulu's The Kardashians.

4 Season 17

The Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian in white t-shirt on couch

Kim and Khloé are anxious over how Kourtney distorts herself from the show and refuses to let viewers in on her personal life. As most fans know, this friction escalates in the next season, leading up to Kim and Kourtney’s infamous fight. But this season sees some professional conflict between the sisters, as Kim and Khloé even threaten to fire Kourtney from their business.

Khloé struggled to balance her life after the Tristan cheating scandal and was quite livid about Jordyn’s segment on Red Table Talk. Meanwhile, Kim's surrogate goes into birth with their son, and she later goes to the White House to talk about prison reform and commits more time to her humanitarian work. Meanwhile, Kylie struggles to settle down without Jordyn.

3 Season 20

Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Khloe Kardashian on Keeping Up With the Kardashians

There were a lot of tearful goodbyes in season 20, as Kris had to tell the crew that the season would be their last. The show mainly focused on the members' personal growth, like when Kourtney stepped out of her comfort zone with some athletic activity, and Khloé found a way to co-parent with Tristan. The two even talked about reconciling and leaving bitterness behind. But the season was also quite engaging, as Kourtney introduced her new friend, TikTok star Addison Rae, to her family, and her sisters expressed their amusement over this unlikely friendship.

2 Season 15

Kourtney Stealing Kim’s Phone on KUWTK

Season 15 was one of the most entertaining of all seasons. Two pregnancies occurred as Khloé announced hers, and Kylie welcomed Stormi in the seventh episode. Kim and Kourtney’s tensions flared as they disagreed with almost everything, whether their kids’ joint birthday parties or their personal wardrobe choices.

Kourtney was also upset that Scott introduced his then-girlfriend, Sofia Ritchie, to their kids without her permission. In the later part of the season, one of the best episodes of KUWTK showed Khloé. The family is devastated just days before Khloé's due date when they read media reports of Tristan cheating on Khloé with another woman in a club.

1 Season 18

Kim in a confessional for KUWTK

There were many questions about season 18 after a bumpy season 17. Kim and Kourtney’s conflict reaches a crescendo as they come to blows in the middle of an argument, and though they try to mend things in the later episodes, things are visibly uncomfortable between them. Khloé's storyline gets a lot of attention, much to the delight of her fans, as she embraces being a single mum and considers seeing new people.

This KUWTK season significantly boosted Khloé's narrative, as she decided to let bygones be bygones and focus on her daughter. The season also found room for some hilarity, as Khloé and Malika unexpectedly catch Corey and Kris amid their romantic getaway. Khloé stages paparazzi photos of herself dressed as Kris Jenner and misbehaving.
