While the likes of Amazon Prime and Netflix are well-known for bringing together an amazing collection of movies and television that provide enough to entertain every tase, both companies have begun venturing out into creating their own content. We now get treated to Amazon originals on a regular basis, and a lot of money and attention to detail is placed into them.

Rather than relying on top shows from elsewhere to eventually join the service, Amazon is now pumping out plenty of its own content that is incredibly entertaining. While not every show is up to an incredible standard, Amazon has gone out and produced some of the very best television available right now. Here are Amazon's 10 best original shows, according to their IMDb scores.

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: 8.1

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan is one of Amazon's newest original series and is the latest medium to take from the books of Tom Clancy. Previously, there have been video games as well as five different movies, but this saw Jack Ryan be brought into the world of television, to be played by John Krasinski.

Jack Ryan is an up-and-coming CIA analyst who gets thrust into an assignment where he uncovers terrorist communications. This is how the story really develops, with this political thriller that has got a lot going for it, making it well worth a watch.

Sneaky Pete: 8.2

Sneaky Pete Desmon Harrington Giovanni Ribisi Joseph Lyle Taylor

Crime dramas are incredibly popular at the moment and Sneaky Pete is one of the best around. This Amazon original follows Marius Josipovic, "Pete Murphy," who has recently been released from prison as he tries to avoid a gangster who he had wronged prior to ending up behind bars.

Pete Murphy is actually the name of Marius's former cellmate and he manages to convince Pete's actual family that they're related. He ends up getting wrapped up in the family's bond business and from there, things begin to unravel as Marius's schemes begin to catch up with him.

Mozart In The Jungle: 8.2

With 40 episodes to go and binge, Mozart in the Jungle is a show that should be on everybody's list. This has a unique story, focusing on an orchestra conductor and his protégé. It might not sound like the most gripping show possible, but its low key and fairly upbeat tempo makes it very enjoyable to watch.

Unlike the vast majority of shows on this list, it isn't packed with fights or murder, conspiracies and arrests, but that's what makes it so appealing. It's a show that is all about relaxing and enjoying it rather than being on edge and is certainly worth checking out.

Goliath: 8.3

Goliath is another brilliant Amazon original which follows a lawyer, Billy McBride who was once a top-level attorney alongside Donald Cooperman. However, he walks out following the acquittal of a murder suspect on a technicality.

After getting away with it he went on to slaughter his family, which doesn't sit well with Billy. It turns his life upside down as he becomes dependent on alcohol and smoking, with the series following him as he struggles to recover and get his life back on track by taking low-quality cases.

Patriot: 8.3

Michael chases a suspect inside a train in Patriot Amazon

Patriot follows John Tavner, who works for the CIA as a non-official cover. His cover is as an engineer, but it's a job he doesn't really know much about, yet must maintain in order not to blow his real work. He is trying to get some money from one place to another, but things certainly do get complicated.

This show is excellent for ramping up the pressure, with every episode becoming increasingly more intense. It's not a simple task that John has to do and with other problems arising throughout the series, that only becomes harder.

All Or Nothing: Manchester City: 8.4

For those soccer fans out there, this is simply a must-watch Amazon original. The show follows Manchester City throughout an entire season, giving a never seen before behind the scenes glimpse at what life is like at an elite soccer side in the Premier League.

This show follows all aspects of the club. From the players training to the board making decisions about who to buy to even going inside the dressing room at half time. It's an incredible series that any soccer fan is going to massively enjoy.

Bosch: 8.4

Bosch follows LAPD homicide detective Harry Bosch, in what is a modern spin on the crime fiction genre. Bosch is a top detective, albeit slightly jaded, who always follows his instincts, no matter what trouble it lands him in. He's happy to slightly bend the rules if it means getting results, and that is his main priority.

Every season of the show focuses on a brand new case, rather than one long story which means each case gets to be focused in a lot of detail, with lots of new twists and turns each time. It's one of Amazon's longest-running shows, with a sixth season on the way in April

Fleabag: 8.7

Fleabag has been one of Amazon's most successful and popular original shows, gaining huge plaudits from both fans and critics. While it was technically only co-produced by Amazon, with England's BBC Three putting up the other half, the series has proven to be perfect binge-watching material.

The show follows Phoebe Waller-Bridge's character as she attempts to navigate her way through life. The show covers everything from love to grief and it does so in an incredibly funny way, with plenty of fourth-wall breaking and sexual content, it's a must-see for adults.

The Boys: 8.7

The Boys is one of the most popular Amazon originals on the platform, that puts a totally unique and different spin on the classic superhero story. While you're used to seeing superheroes be perfect citizens, The Boys has a different take, as all the superheroes in this show are corrupt.

They each abuse their superpowers for a variety of different reasons which actually leads to them killing civilians, not helping them. The show follows a group of vigilantes who are set to take them down and expose their secrets to the world.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel: 8.8

This Amazon original is centered around the life of a housewife, Miriam 'Midge Maisel who is dealing with the fact her husband left her for his secretary. To respond, Miriam drunkenly drops into the comedy world her husband works in and puts on an incredibly funny set.

She ends up being arrested on obscenity charges, but she follows the comedy idea to make a career out of it with the name, "Mrs. Maisel." It's a funny period piece, set back in the late 1950s that focuses on gender equality, and is a truly fantastic show.
