Almost every episode of Nathan For You consists of two or more segments, wherein Nathan Fielder helps a business owner (and occasionally, regular guys and/or Bill Gates impersonators) garner more revenue. The best episodes are those where each segments lands and has withstood the test of time.

Considerations of episodes as a whole aside, there are plenty of great segments worthy of recognition, apart from whatever other segments they may share an episode with. Nathan For You is consistently hilarious, but some of Nathan's schemes and the resulting craziness are a cut above the rest.

Antique Shop

Nathan dressed as Robin Hood

Nathan offers to help a woman who owns an antique shop. She isn't making as much money as she'd like, and Nathan's solution is to take advantage of her "you break it, you buy it" policy. The poor woman is clearly not convinced that this is a good idea (she hesitantly interjects that they might just try to get people to buy her things because they actually like them), but she meekly goes along with what turns out to be one of Nathan's most hilarious ideas.

What elevates the segment is a chance encounter with a drinking buddy of Nathan, who he convinces to go into the antique store while wearing a sumo wrestler Halloween costume. Nathan drives him home and meets the man's brother. Anyways, shoutout to J squad.

Petting Zoo

This episode marks the first of many times Nathan goes accidentally viral (or, rather, the fruits of his ideas do). Nathan offers to help a petting zoo attract more guests, and does so by staging an elaborate video in which a pig appears to rescue a goat.

The Santa actor Nathan befriends makes an audio appearance in the video ("Goat in the water!"), and Nathan attempts to intimidate a chatty diver by pushing him onto train tracks.

Private Investigator

"Private Investigator" is great because it introduces the private investigator that Nathan would continue to interact with in later episodes (and who fans discovered used to be a nude model). Nathan immediately rubs the man the wrong way, from the moment he presents his idea to help him with his business.

He wants to improve the business's online reviews and suggests that he tail him for a day. To throw him off the trail, Nathan hires a bunch of "look-alikes" that bear a very loose resemblance to him. This all culminates with the private investigator dubbing Nathan "the wizard of loneliness".

Realtor

Nathan and Sue talking to the exorcist

A realtor named Sue gets Nathan's help with rebranding and attracting more clientele. Nathan proposes that she be the only realtor to guarantee ghost-free homes, with the help of a medium (who was part of O.J.'s defense team, apparently?).

When the medium identifies an evil spirit in one of the homes Sue is trying to sell, Nathan hires an exorcist he found on YouTube to get rid of it, as well as any demons that take the form of illnesses in Nathan and Sue.

The Movement

Nathan helps a bodybuilder write a book about how he got ripped moving boxes (which is totally untrue). This results in the book actually becoming popular, a news cycle, and a lot of stories about "jungle children".

The actual purpose is to convince workers to work for free at a moving company, but as with any other Nathan For You segment, everything gets hilariously derailed and blown out of proportion.

Smokers Allowed

Nathan wants to help a bar owner attract more customers, and suggests that she allow smoking in the building. Restaurant codes/laws forbid smoking indoors, but Nathan proposes that they take advantage of a loophole: if they make smoking a part of a theatrical production, customers can smoke freely inside the building.

He actually gets people to pay to watch customers drink and smoke, and his success goes to his head. He recasts the customers and tries to make a real go of the production. He also makes an actress tell him she loves him about 50 times.

Souvenir Shop

Nathan shaking hands with store owner

In order to attract more business and increase sales at a souvenir shop, Nathan stages a fake movie shoot with a Johnny Depp and a Bill Gates impersonator. This attracts a large crowd, who Nathan tricks into going into the store and buying souvenirs under the guise of being extras in the film.

In order for all of this to be legal, Nathan has to make the film legit by submitting it to a festival. So, he creates his own film festival and puts together a short film consisting of footage of people shopping and the Johnny Depp impersonator hacking Bill Gates' computer.

Dumb Starbucks

Nathan Fielder talking to press

Of all the times Nathan's schemes have gone viral, "Dumb Starbucks" is undoubtedly the most iconic. In order to compete with Starbucks, Nathan proposes that a local coffee shop rebrand to "Dumb Starbucks" to get attention.

There's a thing called parody law, though, so Nathan, as always, finds a loophole by listing Dumb Starbucks as an art exhibit instead of a restaurant. The whole scheme made national news, and people took it to be a real statement against corporations. There were even theories that it was a Bansky exhibit.

Finding Frances

Bill and Nathan in the car

The series finale of Nathan For You is perfect. Apparently, Bill the Bill Gates impersonator hung around after his role in Nathan's souvenir shop film wrapped. During the time they spent together, Nathan learned that Bill had one major regret: losing touch with the love of his life, Frances.

The extra-long finale has Nathan and Bill do all they can to track Frances down. Along the way, Nathan creates the worst character sketch of all time, Bill turns out to be a little free with the truth, Mud 2 begins production, and Nathan forms an attachment with an escort.

Gas Station

Nathan Fielder looking confused

Somehow, nothing has ever managed to top "Gas Station". Nathan attracts customers by advertising a rebate at a local gas station. There's a catch: the rebate has to be dropped off in a dropbox on the top of a mountain. What's crazier is that a fair amount of people are willing to get in a van with Nathan and hike a mountain to get a rebate on gas.

Once they reach the top, Nathan makes them solve an endless amount of riddles. People start to trickle off, and as it gets dark, Nathan announces that there is no box. He and the three remaining people camp out overnight, sing songs, cry, and head back down the mountain the next day, where the gas station owner informs Nathan that he drinks his grandson's pee.
