Knives Out 2 is due to come out in autumn 2022 and fans of the first movie can't wait to see more of the complex narrative and interwoven, multilayered mystery. The intertwining narrative plot is an interesting trope that fans go back to because of its engaging formula.

These types of films feature a number of characters, each with their own identities and stories. However, they somehow manage to have a purpose that usually comes full circle and weaves together with the other characters within one complete film. The storylines are intertwined without being confusing because, in the end, they're right where they are supposed to be with their loved ones. But they bring it all together by having the women bond after a tragic event. And ultimately, these women later come together and share a moment that ties the film together as a whole.

Their relationships are tested and come full circle with other characters they first come across. Other characters are left with the aftermaths of dark moments that could have been prevented. New Year's Eve centers around a collection of main characters from all walks of life once again trying to live their life to the fullest before the ball drops on New Year's Eve in New York City. There are also side characters that appear throughout that have surprising points to the film.

There are many twists and turns and heartfelt moments in this film, as each character tries to achieve second chances and new outlooks in the moments that count. It comes together in the most serendipitous ways, which makes the film light-hearted and fun to watch.

Seven Pounds (2008)

Seven Pounds follows Will Smith as Ben Thomas as he comes across very different people with important needs. The film takes its time flashing back to a horrible event that plays a special part in Ben's story. He essentially searches for seven people in need of saving of some kind, and so he embarks on a journey to find these individuals in order to find redemption for his role in the event.

This film isn't necessarily connected the way the other films are. However, these seven people that Ben comes across are connected to him in their own special way. Seven Pounds is emotional and authentic. It will spark interest in people who enjoy drama-filled movies with a message.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Pulp Fiction is another multi-narrative film that follows a group of characters and their lives around crime. Ultimately, the film focuses on violence, vindication, and crime, with different main perspectives.

The film goes back and forth between time periods to focus on certain characters at certain points of the story but it finds a way to make the characters show up in other stories and make it make sense to the plot. Pulp Fiction depicts a memorable Tarantino trademark in the way it tells the story, which sparked many other films that followed in its footsteps.

Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011)

He tries to get back into the dating game and start over with his love life the best he can. While this is happening, Cal's mentor meets and falls in love with a young lawyer.

The story explores love in its many forms, with all the good and the bad. By the end, it all comes full circle with the people in love at their limits with everything going on in the story. Many twists and connections are revealed in the best way.  Crazy, Stupid, Love is another great watch for people who are captivated by stories like these, and it is also one of the best movies with both Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.

These storylines explore different forms of relationships at the same time and there are many heartfelt and memorable moments from this film that fans go back to every holiday season. Each plot explores a different kind of life lesson and the story comes together while delivering some of the most romantic quotes.

Closer (2004)

The characters go back and forth between want they want and what they try to avoid but somehow all of them seem to have their own layered struggles by the end.

It's the ways in which the characters meet that make the overall film an interwoven film. It causes a chain reaction within their own relationships and leads them into a cycle of heartbreak.
