Bachelor In Paradise season 8 is already off to a dramatic start, with 21 singles arriving at the beach during the premiere. The majority of the women from this season are from The Bachelor season 26, led by Clayton Echard, including Serene Russell, Genevieve Parisi, Sierra Jackson, Teddi Wright, and Shanae Ankney. Brittany Galvin from The Bachelor season 25, led by Matt James, who wants to marry Rachael Kirkconnell, also makes an appearance, along with Victoria Fuller from The Bachelor season 24, led by Peter Weber.

On the other hand, many of the men this season are from The Bachelorette seasons 17 and 18, led by Katie Thurston and Michelle Young. Brandon Jones and Romeo Alexander competed on Michelle's season, while fan favorites Michael Allio, Andrew Spencer, and Justin Glaze were on Katie's. Johnny Dephillipo, Jacob Rapini, and Logan Palmer also joined the beach on day one after recently competing on The Bachelorette season 19, led by Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia.

The premiere of Bachelor In Paradise season 8 had no shortage of drama, although it had a few sweet moments. The men and women are looking for love and are hoping the season ends well for them. Three storylines, in particular, stuck out as the most interesting moments from the season premiere.

Brandon & Serene's Instant Romance On BIP

Brandon and Serene, whose BIP romance was teased, were the first couple to hit it off on the beach, and their connection was instant. Serene was the first person to arrive, and she emphasized that she was really hoping to meet Brandon. He later pulled Serene aside to chat, admitting that he had his eye on her as well. The two shared a passionate kiss during their first conversation on BIP, and their relationship only escalated from there. Brandon and Serene were later seen walking together on the beach at night, watching the drama the other contestants were dealing with.

Sierra & Michael's Conversation On BIP

Sierra and Michael were another couple who formed quickly after the two had several conversations on day one of Bachelor In Paradise season 8. Sierra and Michael both admitted off camera that they were attracted to one another and wanted to explore where their relationship could go. Later, Sierra asked Michael what the hardest part of being a single father is. Michael responded that not having a partner to share memories of his son James with was the most difficult. Sierra and Michael had the most honest and vulnerable conversation of the night, which is always refreshing on a show like BIP.

Jill Chin Standing Up For Herself On BIP

The biggest drama of the night, surprisingly, came from the budding romance between Jill Chin and Romeo. The two had met prior to BIP, but they wanted to continue getting to know one another on the beach. Unfortunately for Jill, who was on Clayton's The Bachelor season, physician Kira Mengistu stole Romeo away from her and even took her drink. Jill was furious and later stood up to Romeo, saying she was not happy with what had happened. Kira then came to talk to Romeo once more, where he asked her to let him pursue Jill in peace.

Bachelor In Paradise airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
