Superman mythology would feel incomplete without the Man of Steel’s true love and partner, Lois Lane. The iconic reporter has, since her inception, endured as one of the most iconic female characters in fiction, as well as a huge figure in journalism. Without Lois, the Superman universe wouldn’t be the same, as she is the ultimate equal for Clark. Just like the last son of Krypton, Lois has been portrayed outside the comics in multiple TV shows and films. With all the TV shows and movies that they have been portrayed in, Clark’s love for Lois has never been absent. Never Stop Loving DCEU’s Lois & Clark
While the DCEU has featured the Justice League, the 2017 movie isn’t the accurate cut. Zack Snyder’s official version of Justice League will be seen in 2021, when it comes to HBO Max. One of the elements that the 2017 version failed to honor was the Lois and Clark of it all.
The theatrical cut may have given audience members one version of the duo, but what Snyder was really planning to give them, was for unknown reasons cut. If there is one aspect of the DCEU that is underappreciated, it’s this version of Lois and Clark.

That Time Lois Met Cyclops
Lois Lane is just one of the many iconic roles that Amy Adams has played on the big screen throughout her career. While DC fans know her best as Lois Lane, Disney viewers probably associate her more with her role as Princess Giselle in Enchanted.
However, there was a little bit of a DC/Marvel crossover in that film. James Marsden, who played Cyclops in the original X-Men films, got to work with another Lois Lane in the Disney movie.
Lois’ Original Flaw
As much as there is to love about Lois, there is still always that one thing that everyone has continued to joke about her. Whether or not Clark Kent’s disguise is as bulletproof as he thinks it’s, is a separate debate. But Lois has always been noted for not being able to tell that Clark and Superman are the same person, all because of a pair of glasses.

From Super-Reporter To Super-Mom
One of the most beloved versions of Lois on TV is Erica Durance’s iteration on Smallville. After joining the show in season 4, Lois remained a series regular for six seasons, all the way to the end. Durance even reprised her role as Lois with Tom Welling’s Superman in the Arrowverse crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths, last December.
However, Durance had, by that point, already made her way into the franchise on another DC show, as Alura Zor-El on Supergirl. It’s still a shame that Kara never got to meet Lois and Clark of Earth-167 because this meme is the conversation that could have happened.
That One Smallville Theory
While Durance’s Lois is recognized as one of the best, her introduction was always met with mixed reactions. Some Superman fans declared that it was too early to introduce Lois in Clark’s life, especially as he was still in high school in Smallville season 4. However, both before and after she came on board, there was one ridiculous theory that stayed within a certain corner of the fandom: “Chlois.”
The Chlois theory was based on some fans' belief that Chloe Sullivan, Clark’s best friend, was very much a Lois Lane-figure. Those who didn’t’ like Durance’s Lois insisted that her cousin Chloe would one day become the real Lois by the time Clark became Superman.
From Smallville To Man Of Steel
When Adams was cast as Lois Lane in the DCEU, it wasn’t the first time she had been involved with a Superman project. Back in the first season of Smallville, she was one of many guest stars who would go on to have a huge career. While she portrayed the iconic reporter in the movies, Adams had a very weird, but hilarious guest spot. In her episode, Adams played the high school student, Jodi, who struggled with her weight.
But through the bizarre magic of Kryptonite smoothies (one of many weird usages of Clark’s weakness), she was able to rapidly lose weight. However, it came with a nasty side effect, where she needed to feed on other people’s body fat, and Clark was someone she targeted. It's probably a good thing that the show moved away from the meteor-freak-of-the-week concept.
