Over the years since Fortnite has released, there have been many big changes to the game's overall feel and mechanics. The map for one has changed drastically as time has gone on with many new inclusions and alterations that have forced players to play differently. There have also been many different inclusions like new weapons, game modes, vehicles, and more that have kept Fortnite feeling fresh and fun even after all this time.

As Fortnite has continued to change over the years, players too have also needed to change their tactics to adjust to the ever-shifting world around them. The biggest tactical change that they have probably needed to make is deciding the best locations to land on the map at any given time. The best areas to land change every season and sometimes even shift in the middle of a season due to other changes to the game. This guide shows players the best locations to land at in Fortnite Season 7.

Fortnite: Best Landing Locations for Season 7

Why Fortnite's Cosmic Summer Celebration Event Is Pointless

When it comes to choosing a location to land in Fortnite players need to keep several different things in mind. The player has to weigh the risks of a landing spot, keep an eye out to see who else is landing there, make sure the area has access to both weapons and building materials and is also located somewhere on the map that gives them the ability to quickly get anywhere they need to go. No location will perfectly fit all of the criteria that a player might need and no landing spot is perfect, so the player will need to think about every drop. With that being said keep in mind that sometimes the best spots can be pretty deadly, whereas usually if there aren't any other players around there tends to be a reason. Here are some of the best locations to land at in Season 7:

Dirty Docks - One of the most rewarding locations to land at in the entirety of Fortnite is Dirty Docks, due to the sheer number of chests that players are able to find. With nearly thirty different chests spread throughout the area, players should be well on their way to have a decent loadout before leaving. Additionally, there are a large number of building materials for the player to harvest here as well and also multiple vehicles to help the player travel when the storm starts encroaching on them. On top of this Dirty Docks still remains a relatively unpopular location due to its closeness to the edge of the map, so players can explore fairly safely. Due to its relative closeness to Corny Complex though, Dirty Docks should be close to the circle in most matches at least, so players shouldn't have to stress too much about being caught out in the storm.

Believer Beach - This used to be called Sweaty Sands, but now Believer Beach is one of the best drops that Fortnite has to offer. This one is a little more popular due to the fact that the name was changed this season and has some alien themes based on the overall idea of the season, but there are many reasons that players should consider dropping here. For one Believer Beach has more chests within it than any other named drop location on the map, and there are a host of nice weapon drops that will help the player clear at any nearby opposition while trying to build up the best loadout possible. Even if there are a lot of other players in the area it is still pretty easy to drop in and loot several chests before grabbing a boat to then travel to a less populated area to finish up.

Fortnite Season 7 Week 4 Missing Person Signs map Misty Meadows

Misty Meadows - This is a kind of sleeper hit location that many players won't think of visiting unless it is directly in the bus's path. There is actually a lot of loot to find here, and it also tends to be relatively abandoned if it isn't on the direct path. With a host of different houses and shops to search through in order to find items and chests it really is a perfect way to work towards a good loadout. Its position right on the edge of a dock also makes it an excellent place to fish for health and shield items before heading off towards the main parts of the action in the center of the map. One of the coolest reasons to check out Misty Meadows though is that with the inclusion of wild animals to Fortnite in Season 6, this actually becomes an excellent area to search for those animals and tame them.

Slurpy Swamp - This is another good one that a lot of players may not really think about because it can be a little annoying to navigate at times if you don't know where you are going. The buildings are a little to move around in, but there is quite a bit of loot around for players to track down if they search well enough, and odds are they aren't going to have to compete with any other players for the things found here. The best reason to start here though is that the area is chock full of slurp juice that the player can consume in order to fill their shields up all the way. Whether filling them up at the beginning of the match or because an early encounter left them running low, Slurpy Swamp is a great place to begin before pushing towards the center of the map. Players should be careful though because there aren't many vehicles nearby if they storm starts to come in quickly, so players will need to move quickly if its on the other side of the map.

Corny Complex - Dropping here will come with a bunch of risks, but those who are willing to go for it have the opportunity to leave prepared to fight to the end of a match without having to worry too much about looting other locations. Corny Complex has kind of become one of the central focal points of Fortnite at the moment, which means that there are going to be a lot of players all fighting over the same loot in this same area. The upside though is that this location is pretty massive and players are even able to go underneath Corny Complex and explore the secret base located there to acquire special loot. Players really should be prepared though that if they are deciding to drop here, they will more than likely need to immediately fight against a dozen or so other players, so it is important to grab a gun as fast as possible. The upside is that even if dropping goes poorly and the player is unable to get their hands on good loot they are in a perfect spot to branch out and explore close by areas like Pleasant Park that will most likely be within the circle.
