The second season of Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 sees players drop in on a new map called Ashika Island, with never before seen areas and landing spots that will no doubt become highly contested zones for victory in the highly popular battle royale. Developers of the game have recently released a blog revealing many of the map's regions, which should help clue players into what sections might become the best for them or their squad to start in. With conceptual pros and cons to Ashika Island's landscape, the new map, at the very least, provides a breath of fresh air due to its unique layout that puts it apart from the previously exhausted Al Mazrah.

Players need to calculate what level of risk they desire before adventuring to certain landing spots at Ashika Island. Similarly to Al Mazrah, some sections are easier to approach if players have an entire squad with three other allies instead of going into a specific region solo. Likewise, if players are trying to focus on gathering loot instead of weapons, it might be better for them to land somewhere quiet with a no-recoil loadout in Warzone 2. However, players confident in their abilities and want to thin out their competition as quickly as possible may desire drop zones that could become populated from their jump.
