New Dead by Daylight content is on the way. The new Resident Evil and Attack on Titan content has been revealed, and Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim has been announced where players can get cozy with their favorite killers from the game.

The killers in Dead by Daylight are all unique in their abilities and strengths. With a mixture of killers from folklore, horror, and the developers' own imaginations, there's something for ever horror lover. And with any luck, some of these killers may even be dating material.

The Nurse

The Nurse, otherwise known as Sally Smithson, tried her best to make ends meet after her husband passed away. But after witnessing the horrors at Crotus Prenn Asylum, she snapped and killed over fifty patients and four staff members to stop the infection. And now she hunts down players to do the same.

Many players enjoy playing The Nurse due to her strengths, such as the Thanatophobia perk that inflicts a penalty to repairing, cleansing, and decreasing speed to all injured survivors. For any new players, she is harder to work with. But with time and practice, playing her will get easier, allowing gamers to use a powerful killer that is considered one of the best in the game.

The Spirit

An extraordinarily vengeful and powerful killer, Rin Yamaoka, better known as The Spirit, is the perfect choice for players who enjoy a more malicious style of gameplay. After seeing her mother's mutilated body, Rin soon found the culprit to be her father, who killed her soon after, and as she died, she swore she would make him pay in that life or the next, no matter how many survivors stand in her way.

Many players find The Spirit to be an enjoyable character to play due to her ability to catch survivors off guard using her traversal power. This power allows her to teleport to a different area without being seen. A bonus to playing this character is her perk, Hex: Haunted Ground. Upon cleansing or blessing the two spawned Hex totems, the survivors will become exposed for an extended period of time and can be downed with one hit giving the player using her one of the best advantages against the survivors.

The Nightmare

Horror fans alike will know this character not just as The Nightmare but by his true name, Freddy Krueger, The Springwood Slasher from Nightmare on Elm Street. He is part of a DLC and has been noted as a powerful, fun, and entertaining monstrosity of a man that gamers can play as.

Survivors will soon find themselves forced into the Dream World, and once inside, The Nightmare can slow down survivors with Dream Snares and deceive survivors with fake Dream Pallets. To add to this advantage, if the perk, the Blood Warden, is utilized, survivors' attempts to escape become much more difficult. And as any horror fan knows, Freddy is the best at what he does in making every nightmare a horrifying experience.

The Hag

The Hag, otherwise known as Lisa Sherwood has one of the darker backstories in the game. After being kidnapped and tortured, Lisa used her last bit of strength to pull free from her restraints and drew a symbol from her grandmother's forbidden book. In the end, she chose vengeance, and the survivors are just victims of circumstances in this case.

Playing as The Hag enables the player to create dangerous webs of Phantasm Traps that unsuspecting survivors trigger. Once triggered, she is instantly transported to that spot. One of her strong perks is The Third Seal, which can inflict the survivors with blindness. While she is powerful, it is not recommended that new users play as her as they may find difficulty using her right off the bat, but once the skills are mastered, she is one of the best killers to use in the game for tormenting survivors.

The Oni

Some of the characters listed did not start out in life with evil intentions. However, there are some that got a head start in life tormenting others. Such is the case with Kazan Yamaoka, known as The Oni. And while he may not be the main focus of the game, this character and what he becomes is inspired by Japanese Folklore, and he is another powerful character that is up for grabs and is considered one of the best choices.

Kazan Yamaoka sought to return the glory of the samurai culture. His mission was filled with bloodshed and torturing the innocent, only to later be slaughtered by those he tormented. This dark character has strong abilities and perks, such as the Blood Echo. This perk causes all injured survivors to become hemorrhaged and exhausted for a moderate amount of time after one survivor is hooked.

The Cannibal

Another one from the cult classics and one fans know not only as The Cannibal but as the serial killer Leatherface. And if the thrill of chasing someone down with a chainsaw is something that sounds enjoyable, then The Cannibal is a perfect choice.

The Cannibal's presence is intimidating enough, but his perks make him a formidable opponent. One perk that is a great choice to use is Bubba's Chainsaw. This perk lets players do what Leatherface does best, unleash a powerful sweep attack with his trusty chainsaw that can instantly down any survivor that stands in his way.

The Wraith

If stealth and the idea of being a hit-and-run specialist is an intriguing thought, then The Wraith, once known as being Philip Ojomo, is one of the best killers to choose from. He's also an ideal choice since he can render himself invisible using his Wailing Bell.

No matter how hard he tried, he could never outrun violence and now chases survivors down to kill them. His ability to track down his prey and strike without warning keeps survivors on their toes, especially with certain perks. One perk that works well is Bloodhound, and any pool of blood left by injured survivors shines bright, making it easier to track them down.

The Nemesis

When two great horror games come together using a DLC, it can make or break a deal. But with the combination of Resident Evil's scariest video game monster, Nemesis, and Dead by Daylight's gameplay that allows gamers to play as the villain, it worked out very well for everyone involved.

Known as The Nemesis in Dead By Daylight, this behemoth can spread the T-Virus by infecting survivors using his tentacle with the perk T-Virus. And when using the perk Hysteria, when a healthy survivor becomes injured, every other injured survivor can no longer hear the Terror Radius for up to 30 seconds.

The Twins

If there is a need to play an over-the-top killer with an additional creep factor, look no further than The Twins, otherwise known as Charlotte and Victor Deshayes. These conjoined twins are the best at a couple of things, and it's not just their strong bond with one another.

Their story is tragic. They were born during the time of the Salem Witch Trials, called demons, and saw their mother burned alive along with many other traumatizing events following soon after. However, that story makes it no less scary when Victor moves around at high speeds and uses his pounce attack on terrified survivors. This can be done using the perk Blood Bond, which is very effective at hurting survivors and being very hard to avoid.

The Executioner

The Executioner official 3D work.

Once more Dead by Daylight had another perfect combination with a DLC that combined it with Silent Hill. Thus Pyramid Head, known as The Executioner in Dead by Daylight, was added to the killer lineup!

Pyramid Head is already known for being a terrifying force of evil that is ruthless and dangerous, and Dead by Daylight did not leave those factors out. The player is able to bring the hammer down on survivors by using the perk Rites of Judgement. This perk allows Pyramid Head to carve a trail into the ground that inflicts Torment on any survivor that it hits. This also enables his range attack known as Punishment of the Damned when the Rites of Judgement is active.
