Spoilers for She-Hulk #8 by Marvel ComicsWhile there are several different Hulks in the Marvel Universe, only one is the best according to scientists trying to recreate gamma-powers for themselves. In She-Hulk #8 by Marvel Comics, She-Hulk, not the Hulk, is considered the "best Hulk." According to genius-level scientists trying to Hulk-out themselves, Jennifer Walters' ability to maintain her human mind while transforming makes her stand out among the rest.

The Hulk is one of the strongest heroes in the Marvel Universe; however, the hero is also one of the most out-of-control Avengers. He's often unable to contain his anger and rage after transforming into the Jade Giant, as it's a side effect of his incredible powers. However, unlike Bruce Banner becoming the Hulk, Jennifer Walters becoming She-Hulk doesn't make the hero lose control of her human form. Instead, in most circumstances, when she becomes the Jade Giantess, she keeps her intelligence, as she's able to continue her life as a lawyer despite her Hulk upgrade. Now, two scientists are revealing why She-Hulk is the best version of the gamma-powered character to try to recreate.

In She-Hulk #8 by Rainbow Rowell, Takeshi Miyazawa, Rico Renzi, and VC's Joe Caramagna from Marvel Comics, the backstories of two scientists who accidentally transformed themselves into monsters trying to become Hulks are revealed. Mark and April Booth obsess over She-Hulk while attempting to gain her powers. The pair admit that unlike Bruce Banner, who loses control while transforming into the Hulk, Jennifer Walters' "power control, strength, intelligence, and invulnerability" make her the "best Hulk," and the one they attempt to emulate.

The two scientists soon discover that becoming Hulks isn't as easy as trying to recreate the accidents in a lab that gained them their powers. April Booth's entire body is changed, as her head becomes similarly misshaped like the Leader's. Meanwhile, Mark Booth becomes a monster who slowly becomes more and more primitive, unable to string together coherent sentences and stay in control of his human form. So while She-Hulk might be the "best Hulk," becoming a hero like her isn't possible for the scientists - to catastrophic effects.

She-Hulk might be the best Hulk thanks to her combination of powers, intelligence, and control," but trying to become a similarly powered hero proved a massive mistake for the two scientists. The issue demonstrates making any Hulk from scratch, whether it's the strongest version, Bruce Banner, or the more intelligent version of Jennifer Walters' gamma-powered hero, is something that simply can't be recreated in a lab.
