Himbos are handsome but sometimes a little silly. They can just be a little naive and see the best in things and people, which sometimes means they miss the truth of situations. But they're also kind, supportive, and encouraging, making them the perfect antidote to toxic masculinity. Himbos are empathetic, respectful, and go out of their way to be kind.

In the history of movies and television, numerous himbos won the hearts of fans all over the world. Their selflessness and positive attitude make them instantly popular, at times even more than the protagonist of their respective stories. They can also be compelling and three-dimensional, rising above their seemingly uninteresting persona and becoming vital parts of the story.

Nate Archibald

Despite being a child of privilege, Nate Archibald spends most of Gossip Girl with no real plan for the future. Nate is often left out of the schemes and plots and only ever contributes as moral and emotional support, he's not foolish, but he's more heart and brawn then brain.

Nate is also the gang's least toxic member. He's famously the only person who never sent a tip to Gossip Girl. He also doesn't enjoy playing the games that, say, Chuck and Blair excel at, and he never plays with his friends as Serena and Dan do. Nate is the biggest himbo in the Upper East Side, no doubt.

Kevin Beckman

Chris Hemsworth As Kevin In Ghostbusters Hufflepuff

No one would've guessed that Chris Hemsworth was such a good comedic actor. After all, his portrayal of Thor in his first two movies was stoic and far from amusing. Yet, his portrayal of the handsome but doltish model and receptionist Kevin in 2016's Ghostbusters left no doubt about his comedic abilities.

Kevin is a himbo. He's kind and loveable but also extremely silly sometimes. He has more of a jock energy to him, lacking the excessive kindness that characterizes other himbos. Still, he is respectful and supportive of his female bosses, cementing his place as a great movie himbo.

Fred Jones

Fred didn't use to be a himbo. In fact, the character usually assumed the role of the leader in the investigations and generally displayed detective abilities similar to Velma's. The 2002 movie Scoobie-Doo portrayed Fred as an overzealous leader who, despite being capable, is also superficial, vain, and considerably less smart than Velma.

Nowadays, Fred is a bonafide himbo. He's pretty to look at and has the utmost respect for Velma, and especially Daphne. However, he's also easily fooled, often straight-up walking into the trap. He also seems unaware of most things and has the most harmless sense of humor.

Scott Lang

Scott Lang (Ant-Man And The Wasp)

Scott is, without a doubt, the MCU's biggest himbo. He's charming, unpretentious, and utterly relatable. Most of the time, he's just happy to be part of the group. Everything he does is to benefit those he loves, particularly his daughter, Cassie. Scott's crush on Captain America is also endearing.

In a world of geniuses in high-tech suits, enhanced soldiers, and literal Gods, Scott is just a man trying to do what's best. He's certainly not the brightest, but he never loses his positive attitude and goes out of his way to be helpful and contribute something to the mission. Now that's a himbo!

Troy Barnes

Back in Riverside High School, Troy Barnes was the quarterback of the football team and prom king. Although he spends Community's earlier episodes acting like a prototypical jerk, he soon reveals his true self, a pure and unapologetic himbo.

Troy then becomes an overly sensitive and goofy "nerd," desperate to be liked and please others. His childish personality often comes to light, but Troy proves time and again that he cares deeply about his friends and is willing to sacrifice himself for their sake. Out of all the characters in the show, he'd definitely be the best boyfriend.

Jason Mendoza

The Good Place takes considerable time to develop Jason as a character. Jason is quite insightful when the situation calls for it. He's the only character, other than Eleonor, to figure out they're in the Bad Place, and he's also the only one to notice The Panda.

Jason is also capable of unconditional love, is innately sweet, and displays surprising emotional intelligence. All marks of a great himbo.

Son Goku

Goku Flying in Other World

Goku is pure kindness. He's the purest person on Earth and has not a single negative or hateful thought or emotion in his body, which explains why he can still ride the Flying Nimbus, even as an adult. As Earth's ultimate hero, Goku always thinks about himself last, and the greater good is always his priority.

Goku can also be a little naive. He famously agrees to marry Chi-Chi because he believes "marriage" is a type of food. Often, he charges head-first into danger. His good nature and brawn-forward ways make him a true himbo.

Hercules

Disney's animated Hercules from 1997 with Hercules smiling against a red background.

Disney's version of Hercules is what comes up in a Google search for the word "himbo." He's tall, impossibly muscular, handsome, and heroic to the tee. He's naive to the point of obliviousness while also being trusting and enthusiastic. He's way too kind for his own good, although he does enjoy the spotlight.

Hercules is so brave and selfless that he literally becomes a God because of his good deeds. Then, he's so humble and in love that he rejects his Godship and chooses a life on Earth with Meg. Hercules radiates peak himbo energy, and he's the himbo other himbos strive to be.

Kronk

Kronk with Kuzco and Yzma with Spinach Puffs in Emperors New Groove

No animated character is more himbo than Kronk. He is the secondary antagonist in Disney's 2000 animated feature The Emperor's New Groove and the film's breakout character. Kronk is a bit hapless, but he still tries to make good by his boss, Yzma, even though he knows he's doing wrong.

Kronk is friendly, kind, loyal, and brave. He's a people pleaser, which explains his unwavering loyalty towards Yzma. He's also at peak physical condition and comes from a family of health and fitness advocates.

Joey Tribbiani

Joey making a smirk and looking at the camera

Joey was a ladies' man, but he was also a himbo and a damn good one. He is not as sarcastic as Chandler or as controlling and toxic as Ross. If anything, he's the antithesis of his two best friends. Joey is sweet, understanding, supportive, and kind-hearted.

When he thinks Phoebe is pregnant, he offers to marry her so she won't be a single mom. He goes to defend Rachel's honor when he believes her boss wants to buy her baby. And he helps Monica when her kitchen staff is being rude towards her. Joey is the best of friends, and despite his considerable ignorance, his generosity is off the charts.
