After debuting on October 21, 2022, the mega-popular action RPG Gotham Knights continues to mount buzz despite earning only slightly above-average reviews. While critics and general gamers may not agree on the overall quality of the gameplay, almost everyone agrees that the 15 different costume choices available for its four playable characters are beyond reproach.

Whether choosing to play with Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), Dick Grayson (Nightwing), Time Drake (Robin), or Jason Todd (Red Hood), players will be able to adorn their superhero character with reskinned costume styles that include Default, New Guard, Titan, Eternal, Year One, Neon Noir, Demon, Privateer, Metal, Beyond, Knight Ops, Shinobi, KnightHood, KnightWatch, and Talon.

Batgirl's Metal Suit

Most Gotham Knights completists agree that Barbara has the best overall wardrobe options in the comic-book-inspired video game, with her stunning Metal Batgirl costume standing out far more than most. As a credibly evil incarnation of the character from the Dark Universe, the striking black, gold, and purple ensemble with pointy bat ears and a frightening facial covering give Barbara a badass air of stylish villainy.

Fortified by metallic chest plates, knee guards, shoulder pads, and spiky armbands to go with a draping jet-black superhero cape, Batgirl's Metal Costume is easily one of Barbara's unique looks in the game and is also the best-looking Metal suit in the entire set.

Batgirl's KnightHood Suit

While Batgirl's Demon Costume is worth a mention for its sleek all-white armor, the elegant simplicity of the Batgirl KnightHood costume is too classic, familiar, and iconic to ignore in the comic-book-inspired video game. It may seem overly basic to some given the all-black appearance accentuated by the golden bat insignia on the chest, but in terms of its comic-book accuracy, it's hard to beat.

Reminiscent of the Michael Keaton-era Batman to boot, Batgirl's KnightHood costume is ornately detailed with its carbon fiber material, padded protective gear, and contoured design, yet remains understated enough not to call attention to herself. While some costumes are too busy and tech-heavy, Batgirl's KnightHood suit is sleek, chic, and recognizable as can be.

Batgirl's KnightWatch Suit

Created by famed DC artist and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee, KnightWatch is by far the best costume set in the game. In terms of being the most faithful to the comic book source material, no outfit design is more authentically detailed or tailor-made to the specs of Gotham Knights. This includes Batgirl's awesome KnightWatch suit, which is nostalgically reminiscent of Barbara's first comic book appearance.

Between the pointy-eared leather mask and powerful black and gray suit accentuated by her shiny gold belt, boots, armbands, leg wrap, and iconic Batgirl symbol, the kick-ass crime fighter has rarely looked so perfect. It feels like it was ripped right out of the page and plastered onto the screen, which couldn't be a higher compliment.

Red Hood's Beyond Costume

Red Hood's Beyond suit is seen in Gotham Knights

Lifted from the best of the Batman Beyond universe, the Beyond costume set in Gotham Knights boasts a hi-tech futuristic cyberpunk aesthetic. While all the characters look pretty cool in them, Red Hood's Beyond costume is the clear standout of the lot as he looks like a supercharged cross between Deadpool, Red Hood, and Thanos all rolled into one intimidating force.

Aside from the subtle red, white, and blue color scheme that intimates the character's patriotism, Red Hood's Beyond costume comes with a blood-red face mask, twin side holsters, brutal three-piece arm/leg spikes, and an overall air of authority that feels dependably familiar and refreshingly new at once.

Red Hood's KnightWatch Suit

Once again designed by Jim Lee with the utmost accuracy and authenticity, Red Hood's KnightWatch suit is an absolute thing of beauty. Between the blood-red mask, short brown high-collared leather jacket, metallic chest plate, matching armbands, and casual pair of jeans, Red Hood's KnightWatch costume combines crime-fighting fashion and function that couldn't be more germane to the comic book video game adaptation.

A highly anticipated costume set, KnightWatch outfits in Gotham Knights can't be unlocked in the game. Instead, they can only be used to transmogrify preexisting costume sets, such as New Guard and Titan. Even so, Red Hood's signature look remains more faithful to the source material than any other.

Robin's Eternal Suit

While some may think he looks too much like The Flash, those who remember Tim Drake's infamous comic book arc in which he becomes Red Robin will appreciate how detailed Robin's Eternal costume is in Gotham Knights, especially given the iconic bird symbol stamped on his chest.

Far from his signature costume, Red Robin's Eternal suit boasts a glossy metallic sheen, gray and red mask, red and yellow cowl, and a hi-tech gray utility belt that matches his midriff, armbands, and boots. A wildly fashionable makeover, Robin has rarely been this sartorially stylish.

Robin's Demon Suit

While Robin's colorful Metal and Titan reskins are also worth mentioning, it's hard to beat how cool Dick Grayson looks adorned in his red, orange, and gray Demon Suit, a direct homage to Damien Wayne's Robin suit from Injustice 2.

While far from Robin's iconic green, red, yellow, and gray color combo, his awesome Demon costume includes a gray and red hood that shrouds his face, and red arm, leg, and belt straps that give the costume a cool martial arts quality that, when combined with his leather pants and sleeves, combine to give him a Bedouin Jedi-like appearance.

Robin's KnightWatch Suit

In what's become a clear motif, Jim Lee's pitch-perfect design for Robin's KnightWatch costume is the polar opposite of the Demon Suit in that it's exactly what fans expect the all-time beloved character to look like. Notice the striking red vest with Robin's trademark yellow "R" initial on his chest, which perfectly matches the character's utility belt and cowl interior.

With the rutilant green shoulder pads, armbands, boots, and leg linings to go with his gray face mask, Robin's KnightWatch costume couldn't be more on point. Unlike the laughably unrecognizable Talon reskin, KightWatch continues to be the most accurate and authentic rendition of the character.

Nightwing's Neon Noir Suit

A fashionable compromise between high and low-tech, the Neon Noir costumes in Gotham Knights fuses old-school leather-clad biker iconography with a more futuristic appearance. While every character has a pretty cool Neon Noir reskin, Nightwing's costume is the closest thing to resembling the comic book other than his NightWatch outfit.

Between the sharp two-tone blue color scheme, dual-toned face mask, leather body, and protective Kevlar elbow and knee pads, not to mention Nightwing's awesome weapons used in Gotham Knights (iconic twin swords strapped to his back), the Neon Noir costume is fierce, stylish, and true to the character.

Nightwing's KnightWatch Suit

Nightwing's KnightWatch suit is seen in Gotham Knights

Like the others in the Jim Lee-designed suit-style set, Nightwing's KnightWatch costume is the stuff of comic book legend. With not a single hair out of place or wrinkle to be found, Nightwing's skintight black and blue bodysuit and matching eye mask will make players feel like they're living and playing inside a comic book come to life. It's that genuine!

Unlike the unnecessarily gaudy Shinobi costume, which makes Nightwing look like a robotic Sumo wrestler crossed with Akira, the KnightWatch suit reinforces the evolution of Dick Grayson's true character far more convincingly. For players looking to immerse themselves in an RPG that allows them to identify with the Gotham Knights, no costume is better suited than the entire gang's NightWatch costumes.
