Of the different types of equipment players can get in the magical parkour action RPG Forspoken, Cloaks can help raise their stamina, health, and defense. While players are able to customize Frey, the game's protagonist, in a few ways, the most notable alterable feature is the Cloak that she wears. Once players unlock and begin exploring the open world of Athia, their Cloak collection will likely grow to suit any ability loadout players want.

Of Forspoken's 25 total Cloaks that all have different looks and grant different abilities, only some of them are obtainable early in the game. As players find and farm more mana in Forspoken through exploration, they will probably encounter plenty of hidden Cloaks along the way. After covering some of the game's story and progressing with the basics, finding the best Cloaks early will be crucial for their defense.

The Best Cloaks To Get Early

In order for players to boost their stats early in Forspoken, they will need to track down some of the best Cloaks available. The table below shows the appearance, name, and initial abilities of the best first Cloaks in Forspoken, as well as where to find them.

Most of the Cloaks are acquired by going to certain Points of Interest in various locations throughout Forspoken's two explorable open worlds and completing the task there, which has also been described below:

Pelerine and Valorous are the best early-game Cloaks for Forspoken's chaotic magic and parkour; Pelerine boosts the player's health and stamina quite a bit, and Valorous greatly buffs Red Magic. Although both of these are great options, players should remember that the further into the story they go, the better stats their Cloaks will have. No matter what Cloak players decide to wear, they can always go to a Refuge to craft more effects or gather Mana to prepare for the toughest fights in Forspoken.
