World War Z (2013): 7

Who isn't afraid of a world pandemic taking over and turning everyone into hungry zombies? It's what countless nightmares of made of. Zombies top the infamous Jason Voorhees. In 2013, Pitt starred and produced the film World War Z

World War Z had an interesting take when it came to its ending and the fate of humanity. Don't worry, no spoilers here. Former UN employee Gerry Lane (Pitt) and his family are rescued when the city is suddenly overrun by zombies. Lane volunteers to aid in finding its origin location in order to develop a cure.

Vice (2018): 7.2

The 2018 film, Vice, had people talking about the overall production and look of the main characters. At a first glance, you wouldn't have realized Dick Cheney was being portrayed by Christian Bale. The film was another project by Brad Pitt that received praise for its ability to pull off a political satire.

The film revolved around Cheney's rise to becoming one of the most prominent presidents in history, at the time. Audiences get a lot of backstory into how Cheney went from a White House intern to the lowest moments of his life to somehow rising through the ranks to run for president.

Beautiful Boy (2018): 7.3

Brad Pitt continued his production skills with the 2018 film Beautiful Boy. The film received good reviews for the powerful acting of its main stars Steve Carell as David Sheff and Timothée Chalamet as Nic Sheff. The film is based on two memoirs by the real-life David Sheff and Nic Sheff.

Nic is a troubled teen who starts using drugs and goes missing for a number of days at a time. His father realizes his addiction and gets him help, but it only fails. Nic is sent to Los Angeles with his mother and starts to recover. But Nic can't let go of his old habits.

The King (2019): 7.3

The Netflix original film, The King, got many people talking and built up anticipation as Timothée Chalamet took on a new upscale role.  Not to mention, the star-studded cast that included Robert Pattinson, Joel Edgerton, and Lily-Rose Depp.

Chalamet portrayed Henry, Prince of Wales who had no desire to succeed his father or interest in the politics of war. Plans change as his brother is killed and his father passes away, forcing Henry to take the throne. Moonlight (2016): 7.4

Moonlight won the Academy Award For Best Picture in 2016, but many might not have known that Brad Pitt was an executive producer for the film. Despite the film winning the highest award possible, Pitt was nowhere to be seen. According to Vanity Fair, he was having a spaghetti dinner as James Gray's house.

The film received numerous praises and accolades for its deeper look and analysis of lives that are rarely seen in cinema. Cut into three distinct parts of life, it follows the story of Chiron (Trevante Rhodes, Ashton Sanders, and Alex Hibbert) who struggles with his sexuality, identity, abuse and the intersection of Blackness.

Moneyball (2011): 7.6

Pitt starred in the biographical sports drama Moneyball as Billy Beane. He was also one of the film's producers. Things aren't going too well for Beane as his baseball team loses to the New York Yankees and he's about to lose his best players.

He and his assistant GM Peter Brand (Jonah Hill) have to take a new approach to scout players. They must turn underestimated talent and a limited budget into a competitive 2002 baseball team. The film received praise for its ability to take a niche subject and turn it into something worth watching.

Kick-Ass (2010): 7.6

If you're a fan of comic books turned film, then you would have seent the film Kick-AssThe film took common superhero themes and took them to the real world. What you may not have known is that Pitt was one of the film's producers.

The story brought to life the story of David Lizewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) who becomes Kick-Ass after being fed up with crime and being seen as a weak. He meets the parallel version of Batman, Big Daddy (Nicholas Cage) and his daughter Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) in an action-packed R-rated superhero film.

The Big Short (2015): 7.8

Another Academy Award Winner film, The Big Short won for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2015. Pitt not only played the role of Ben Rickert but was also a producer for the film. In this biographical comedy-drama, it follows three distinct stories that come together leading up to the 2007 housing market crash.

The film was praised for its unconditional techniques and breaking of the fourth wall. Not to mention it had a star-studded cast and various cameos from well-known stars Margot Robbie and Selena Gomez.

12 Years A Slave (2013): 8.1

Who knew Brad Pitt was a producer of so many recognized films? This includes the 2013 Best Picture winner, 12 Years a Slave. Pitt also played a supporting role as Samuel Bass. The film received high praise for its historical telling and outlook on the history of American slavery that speaks of the cruel fate many endured.

Soloman Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor) is a free African-American in the year 1841. A talented violinist, he is offered a job by two white men to only be drugged and sold into slavery. Based on real-life encounters, Northup is released after 12 years of slavery and tells his story.

The Departed (2006): 8.5

Brad Pitt's top-rated produced film, according to IMDb, is The Departed. Pitt did not star in this film but Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, and Mark Wahlberg make up for it amongst the many more famous actors.

Set in Massachusetts, Irish Mob boss Francis Frank" Costello (Nicholson) plants one of his own, Colin Sullivan (Damon) in the police force. At the same time, the police send in William "Billy" Costigan (DiCaprio) to infiltrate Costello's crew. Both sides become aware of the play and try to discover each other's identity. The film went on to win Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay at the Academy Awards.
