His family includes his ex-wife's boyfriend, played by Bobby Cannavale. There are some heartwarming and hilarious moments throughout the film and Cannavale and Paul Rudd have some great scenes together as they've grown to be friends since the first movie. Prayer for a Perfect Season (7.3)

This 2011 documentary tells the story of the 2010-2011 boys basketball team at a Catholic school. There was media attention surrounding the season, which the documentary delves into. It also covers the decline of Catholic school programs at the time amidst the growing media attention. Bobby Cannavale narrates the entirety of the sports documentary.

The Fundamentals of Caring (7.3)

This 2016 dramatic comedy stars Paul Rudd as a man who decides to quit his job after a family tragedy. He instead chooses to take a class about care-giving and begins taking care of a disabled teen.

Blue Jasmine (7.3)

This drama follows Cate Blanchett as she tries to adapt to a new lifestyle. She begins with a privileged life in New York and after her divorce, she has to move across the country to San Diego and finds herself destitute. She desperately attempts to rebuild her life much to the chagrin of her sister. Blanchett has to find herself again within her new life situation. Bobby Cannavale has a small role, but overall the movie is a decent story of a woman rediscovering herself and trying to stay strong through rough times.

Chef (7.3)

This 2014 movie follows a chef as he makes the decision to quit his highly prestigious restaurant job and open up a food truck. The movie stars Jon Favreau, who wrote and directed too, as the chef who makes the major life change to be happy in his work.

Bobby Cannavale plays a chef that works with Favreau at the beginning and is supportive of his friend's decision, but doesn't choose to follow him like co-star John Leguizamo. It's a great film about choosing what you love over what is popular or in style at the time with a lot of focus on family and friendship, as well as some great cooking segments throughout.

Ant-Man (7.3)

This 2015 Marvel movie, again, stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang. The movie is hilarious with its charming main character. It's also incredibly heartwarming with his connection and love for his daughter and family. Bobby Cannavale plays Lang's ex-wife's new boyfriend. Of course, there is some animosity between the two at the beginning, but when Lang's daughter is in trouble they both show their love for her and it forms an understanding and bond between the two that's briefly shown in the sequel. It's an incredibly fun movie with action, comedy, and heart.

I, Tonya (7.5)

This 2017 biographical drama tells the story of Tonya Harding (Margot Robbie), a disgraced figure skater accused of attacking competitor Nancy Kerrigan before the U.S. Championship. The story follows the cast of characters during the build-up to the attack and intersperses the action with the characters being interviewed about the event in the future. Actresses Margot Robbie and Allison Janney were given rave reviews for their portrayals and Janney won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role. Bobby Cannavale has a small role as a reporter throughout the film.

Fresh Cut Grass (7.6)

This movie follows a young recent graduate as he tries to figure out his present and future after graduating, his father's death, and his estrangement with his mother. He meditates on his life and future while cutting his mentor's lawn. He falls in love with a woman and she pushes him to share his excellent writing skills with the world. Bobby Cannavale doesn't have too much of a role in this one, but the reviews are good for this Indie film.

The Station Agent (7.6)

This comedic drama stars Peter Dinklage as a man suffering the tragic death of his only true friend. He recedes into himself and moves away to live a life a solitude. Instead, he finds a friendly, chatty street vendor (Bobby Cannavale) and a woman (Patricia Clarkson) who is also going through a personal tragedy. The movie succeeds with stellar reviews and is a great realistic slice of life drama with a lot of Bobby Cannavale.

The Irishman (7.9)

The epic mob story was released on Netflix in late 2019. Directed by Martin Scorsese and starring countless big names like Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Harvey Keitel. It takes place in the 1950s and follows real-life organized crime mobsters and how they interacted with each other and labor union organizer and Teamster, Jimmy Hoffa (Al Pacino).
