From the early days with their black and white cartoons to the modern age of streaming services, Disney has always known how to make us laugh. Whether it's through the use of beloved characters like Mickey, Donald, and Goofy or through the unholy slew of sitcoms on Disney Channel, they know how to keep their viewers happy.

Thanks to the magical invention of Disney+, casual viewers and Disney fans alike have their choice of material to binge. Today, we're talking about those delightful series intended to tickle our funny bones. What's a selection of both animated and live-action series, there's a little something for every sense of humor.

That’s So Raven

In the past, Disney has been no stranger to screwball comedy ideas, some of which were just playing out of left field. So the idea of a sitcom centered around a teenage psychic being a tremendous hit might sound a little strange to some, but anyone who knows Raven will say otherwise.

That's So Raven was one of the cornerstones of Disney Channel sitcoms. The show was so popular, in fact, the world saw of return of Disney's favorite clairvoyant in her own sequel series, Raven's Home. Now fans can binge the series that started it all.

Boy Meets World

Much like Back to the Future, Spaceballs, or A Goofy Movie, Boy Meets World is one of those pieces of media that become so dated it becomes a classic. The series will forever be stuck in the '90s, but that's part of its appeal. It's your standard coming-of-age sitcom, but not without its quirks and charm.

Not only was it a breakout role for a young Fred Savage, but it featured several other brilliant appearances from the likes of Will Friedle, Jason Marsden, and the incomparable William Daniels as Mr. Feeny. A bit standard by today's sitcoms, but definitely a memorable piece of the past.

The Simpsons

Of course, we can't talk about television sitcoms without talking about America's favorite animated family, the Simpsons. As one of the longest-running shows in television history, there are few people in existence who aren't familiar with the adventures of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie.

There's little we can say about this iconic show that hasn't been said already. With the show currently in its 31st season, the entire population of Springfield has practically become ingrained in our collective conscience of pop culture. Go many of its episodes are hit and miss, you can't deny there still a poignant element of wit embedded in the series.

ABC’s The Muppets

Although this show ran briefly for only one season in 2015, its writing and its sharp wit absolutely demanded an audience. It wasn't that the series wasn't family-friendly, but it did show a more mature side of The Muppets for a different breed of viewer.

The best way we can summarize this show is what would happen if the Muppets starred on The Office.  The characters were set in off-camera settings and scenarios, allowing for interesting content. Unfortunately, the show didn't sit well with ABC and soon got the shaft, but all episodes are relivable and rewatchable on Disney+.

Legend Of The Three Caballeros

No matter what age you are, you can't deny how shockingly hilarious this series. It might feature more than a few animated birdfolk, but the writing and the slapstick are positively delicious. The plot is definitely every flavor of insane Disney could possibly crank out, but the payoff is well worth its weight in gold.

As it turns out, Donald Duck, Jose Carioca, and Panchito Pistoles are the reincarnations of Mythic versions of the Three Caballeros and must do all within their power to protect the world from supernatural threats. That might sound like an animated fever dream, but it makes for one heck of a Saturday morning cartoon.

Milo Murphy’s Law

An animated series from the creators of Phineas and Ferb starring Weird Al Yankovic? How can we not put this on our list? Though it still has the same flavor of Phineas and Ferb the humor is certainly a different entree altogether. Surprisingly, some of it is more subtle and even more adult at times.

Milo Murphy's Law is a quirky and altogether strange experience revolving around one gag, Milo Murphy is the world's biggest jinx, but it still somehow manages to stay fresh and unique with each episode. Although it lacks a certain secret agent platypus, we have to recommend it.

Darkwing Duck

When it comes to loving parodies, Darkwing Duck practically has the idea down to a science. Not only does the series continuously and shamelessly mock the likes of Batman, the Justice League, and a slew of other superhero titles, at the same time it manages to pay honest and earnest tribute as well.

Darkwing and stuff might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but you have to admire his persistence to his superhero career and appetite for justice. Even if his own ego might be his Achilles heel, at the end of the day he's a true blue superhero and we love him for it.

Goof Troop

How can we talk about the comedy genre without mentioning the master himself, Goofy? Goofy is The Man when it comes to screwball comedic antics. So it makes perfect sense that Disney would want to cast him as a sitcom dad. Goof Troop essentially jump through all the standard family comedy hoops that Full House, Family Matters, and Boy Meets World did, but with more Disney.

Things only get better when Pete's family next door gets involved. Though the Antics and situations are definitely something more at home on a Saturday morning cartoon, you can't deny the classic comedic tour de force that is Goofy.

DuckTales (Remake)

Ducktales main characters

Although the original series definitely has a place in many viewers Hearts, it's the Remake that truly shines on our list. This is not only a love letter to '90s era Disney, but an astounding tribute to Disney Animation itself. There's more than enough Easter eggs and callbacks to make any fan's head spin.

The new DuckTales add a touch of modern without being dated. The adventures with Scrooge McDuck are still engaging and exciting without pandering canoer viewers. Whether solving Mysteries are rewriting history, the DuckTales gang are definitely still top of the game.

Gravity Falls

Our number one spot goes to one of the most beloved cult hits from Disney since The Black Cauldron. Gravity Falls is a strange and unusual show that grabbed its fan base by the throat and beautifully Blended surrealist comedy with supernatural terrors and cosmic horrors. Like if Lovecraft guest-starred on Adventure Time.

When siblings Dipper and Mabel are cast into the realms of the weird on a regular basis, fun is certainly to be had. Whether they're fighting off villains or strange creatures in the town of Gravity Falls, fun is certainly to be had with a little strange flavor.
